first rule of mgtow, don't talk about it. Period!

easy? lol. Here's the thing we men always had one of two choices: "go to work" or "go to jail". well, my parents expect me to be inside their hands and when they realized i wasn't, they said the same "sending you to canada was my biggest mistake". But like i said, my parents are cool people so they get me with time.

you see, when you are in a good position people will listen to your opinion. I started my career two years back and slowly rising in ranks. It will take a couple of years to get stable with a house and a cool car, especially with home prices in canada, its might take a while. But my parents are cool, they're open to discussion on anything. But the concept of individuality and personal freedom doesn't exist in the indian philosophy of life. Everything's about family, though i like it, i have my p…

my father's a cool dude, really supportive and awesome. But even the most amazing person would stand against his own son to defend a woman he doesn't know or for marriage. so be careful...

haha, they'll literally have a heart attack. but I'll keep you guys posted.

well you see every culture has its equivalent of tolerance. here sleeping with a guy is considered slutty behavior. But in india hanging out/kissing a guy is considered the ultimate slutty behavior. So a girl could be a virgin and still fuck around and claim to be an angel. but like one of the previous commentators said, "I don't like to gamble". Most girls put up a nice interview attitude until they get married, its only after they get married, the true nature shows out.

haha , that's a good reply, That's my next reply to him

that's what i did, i accepted and that's hte thing. They know for a fact that if someone isn't arguing then they're not gonna cave, so they're just using shaming tactics for now.

haha, desi girls who grow up here end up being more toxic than the stereotypical toxic white girl. But tbh, an average desi guy doesn't exist in their eyes. They want to be with a beta white guy or will the side slut of some alpha/rich desi/white guy. Sad, but i didn't believe it either until i saw it happen.

they believe in fantasies and nawalts
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 05:32 PM

its very true, the system manipulates our perception, and my parents are still in their 1970s perception of marriage and culture. They got redpilled after my sister fucked around, but still won't realize the modern woman's behavior
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 05:31 PM

So do my parents, they want grandkids. I want to have kids too, but the idea of living with a woman, just grosses me out. I dont know why, i just couldn't fathom waking up to some woman next to me. But surrogacy might be an option, but its in the far future.

I've told them the divorce rape statistics, even in india its rising steadily. They live in a culture where they think the man is responsible for everything. Its how it was until a generation ago. But now, its totally upside down. I can't mention MGTOW as he'll go to google and find this totally alien concept absurd as most blue pill people do. I tried explaining all my reasons, he thinks im just lazy and avoiding responsibility and should "MAN UP". lol
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 05:27 PM

congrats on the job, and good luck. I don't mind them calling me anything, they'll eventually get ok. But I wanted to have a nice time with them here. I wanted to buy my dad a motorcycle and work on our project cars in our home garage and make up all the time we lost in my childhood. But he thinks only marriage can make me a real man...pfff.f....how many times we've heard that.
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 05:25 PM
2

haha, you see the concept of hobbies and individuality doesn't exist in indian society. My dad's hobby was spending time with us, i think that explains a lot. Again if i try to explain im inherently different by nature, he'll argue I just got spoilt after heading to the west.
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 05:24 PM

wait, this might actually work.
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 05:23 PM

I sometimes think that could be it. He just cannot comprehend the fact that I'm gonna be more free than him.
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 05:21 PM

I told em, but they still believe in the awalt stuff. One of my dad's friends got a divorce and he married a single mom with 2 girls. Now that guy has to deal with 4 daughters and 2 wives. Even after seeing this he's like, no its about how to behave with them and all. He doesn't realize that the law is on the woman's side all the time.
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 05:20 PM

agreed...
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 04:47 AM

well for him freedom is also about responsibility. so his mentality is "if you're not taking responsibility for someone you're not free". i remember talking to him about a couple of months on the same issue and while discussing life plans he mentioned some to the amount of "you should have a stable career and then you can take care of a girl....". I was like "Why?, should i take care of some girl?" and he was astounded for a simple question. He just wants grandchildren that's why all this stuff …

well i've always been honest to my folks you know, we kinda keep it that way. I'm a straight forward guy especially with the family. they're are afraid i'd run out of options after i hit 30~32. That's why they're worried.

its all this bollywood crap they see everyday. not to add these soap operas .... pff. that's an another chapter.

lol, even if you're an indian guy, if you're not her caste and sect and her religion, the parents will hate you. Unless you're super rich, they'll forego all the requirements. And the desi girls who grow up here, some are okay, but most of em, jesus h christ, they're more spoilt that the natives from here.

well my dad didn't have any drawbacks tbh in his life except for the part he's still trying to get the motorcycle he always wanted, hmm. when i asked him why he didn't get married he gave the same speechless expression. But he's indoctrinated with this marriage ideology since birth and he's gone through 27 years of a successful marriage, so its gonna be tough for me to convince him out of it. I even remember him asking me "if some angel crossed me in my life,?" and i was literally grossed out an…

well im past the 4/5 stages of grieving and my parents are awesome. That's the only reason i'm not cutting contact. My parents too have that script, and they know i will not listen to it. They just need time to understand my life script. Well i'm a SDE, one piece of advice while learning to code, "Don't give up". Good luck
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 04:20 AM

no i have a sister. well my parents think that angel will drop outta the sky and complete my poor self and it will be rainbows and candies. My parents are okay if like someone even from here, but the thing is I never grew up to that part, I always ran away from relationships. I simply could cut all contact and move on, but I owe a lot to my parents and that's the only thing that keeping me from doing that.

well my dad knows what's up, he uses computers and internet and is a fellow proper engineer. He's the one who taught me how successful men have access to a wide range of women, and some red pill stuff too. I even remember once we were walking out of a 5 star hotel and there was this 50+ some guy in a ferrari 458 and a hot 20 something woman next to him. He pointed out and said that's what you get when you pay someone 10,000 a month to stay with you and laughed. all this is good, but now he's try…

well, i love my parents, they're really cool people except for the marriage part. They get actual compliments from people on how well they brought me up, but this doesn't entitle them to the rest of my life.

his reaction was speechless when i asked that question.... he went quiet for a while and just kept staring not knowing how to reply to this question.

See they haven't seen/had any family fuck ups. So everything's rainbows and unicorn about a girl for them. So yeah, guess they're trying to learn through me lol.

They think that some only some woman can complete me. and they believe that since my mom married my dad when he had nothing and they build all their accomplishments together, the same thing will happen to me. I get that its nice to have a companion to work on building your empire. But this aint 1970s anymore.
/r/MGTOW04/09/17 02:13 AM

lol. It sure is acting up, but i just don't pick up. I get it they're worried and want me to have kids and stuff. But for now, I just dont care.

see here's the thing. I we try to do something public, they'll be 100 white knights coming to a girls' favour and we'll tarnish our status. Look at hitman, he just does his thing and silently moves on when the time comes, only if it serves his agenda. I don't care, what happens as I have nothing to do with this girl. I'm not a knight, I'm just a man going his own way.

well most of my college friends are on it, kinda helps keeping in contact sometimes. But this girl has a husband who has taken her from a shit hole in her home town to a new country and now she's posting shit like this.

Well he actually asked me if I came across an angel ever in my life. I was like Wtf, he thinks just because he got lucky getting married with my mom doesn't mean the same is gonna happen to me.

Yeah I'm Indian.

He's a guy who usually writes and plans like that. But for this he'll ask me to ignore logic and follow.religion and culture carp lol.

Damn, apparently the girl they were interested is a dentist. So they were trying to convince me from that angle. I said only one word throughout the conversation "nope"

I'm an indian kid living in Canada. Lol since I'm not dating and dumped my gf they of course want to arrange a marriage.

someone tell this to my dad, he's trying to get me married to some girl for a while now.....
/r/MGTOW25/04/17 05:00 AM

good stuff man. Though my parents' marriage is very successful, my dad had to make a lot of sacrifices and keep the ship sailing. I truly respect him for that. But He's still trying hard to convince me. Looks like we will hit a rough patch for a couple of years. Its going to be a funny couple of years ahead.

yeah, even today, they're super persuasive. They're not giving up at all. damn, looks like I need to occasionally ghost them every now and then.

do you really want to hear the whole story?...
/r/MGTOW24/04/17 10:03 PM
1

Though all this seems like easy on both of us, the fact is I really don't like playing games. I say what i want and I just do it. All that drama and shit that comes with marriage is too much for my head. I'd rather get a dog and move that to canada.
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 09:44 PM

yeah, they just took off, and never turned back.
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 09:21 PM

well they know I always do what i want, so they'll eventually stop. Lets hope they stop sooner.
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 09:20 PM

he is a great guy and the mom's been good to him, can't complain on that. But I can't myself like that all lovey dovey with any woman, and they can't understand that. lol
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 09:18 PM
3

you see that's the thing, If i say that, they will say np. They've always given more than what i needed and they really want me to be happy. But I don't want them to get hurt in this process as well. That's why I'm trying to make them understand rather than throwing ultimatums at them.
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 03:57 AM
2

well, then they'll think im depressed and start pricking the wound which i successfully healed some time back. I never was afraid to stand up to my parents, and it is exactly what i did and will do for this issue as well. But yeah, I can tell you've put up lots of shows like this to your folks before.
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 03:55 AM

well, it was ancient culture where men wandered into the forests to find the greater meaning of life leaving behind civilization and earthly needs. It was the ancient indian man's version of GYOW.

wait, you're 28? you must have had the talk by now. lol
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 03:37 AM

well it started out as good in the beginning (at the early stages of the culture), but now its like putting together a nightmarish merger deal while balancing on a pole.
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 03:33 AM
2

he thinks that what "responsible men" do. He kept bringing up, you need to have "Commitment" over and over again for some reason.
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 01:31 AM
4

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid about. Me and my dad are cool (i call him bro, lol), and I'm afraid of straining that relationship. That's the only worry i have, even the mom's really cool, but just not this time, especially with me not marrying. I'm just making sure that I slowly incorporate the idea of me not marrying over time, so as to keep the straining part down. Time will tell, i guess.
/r/MGTOW23/04/17 12:53 AM

well I'm muslim by birth (i'm non-religious though), and denying marriage, isn't a concept or cultural thing.

I never gave into any pressure from them since I can remember and did what I wanted. When my dad tried to convince me, I asked him, "Dad did I ever listen to any advice you gave?", he replied "No". To which I said "Then why're you trying now?". Well he said the most funniest thing ever "well I'm the dad, I've always have to try". But I guess I'll do good.

/r/MGTOW23/01/17 09:24 AM

which is true, isn't it? get realistic, get to work and do something about it and let the people who said that say otherwise. Infact it doesn't even matter what they say, the point of matter is you don't go your own way because someone hurts your feelings. You're just directing the anger towards something else to feel good. In fact, you'll feel good because you're now rejecting them. Just do what it takes to make you feel happy and motivated. Its sad that the society perceives people based on th…

okay, so she doesn't reply back, so I'm MGTOW? what the heck. I'm sorry, but you're just channeling your anger/lack of odds (which is way skewed for every average guy) through MGTOW. If you want to go your own way, then you would have gone so before. Its no shaming language or blah blah, just giving out my 2 cents,... Cheers, have a nice weekend ahead!! :)
/r/MGTOW13/01/17 12:25 AM

good stuff dude. But come on, bailing on the kids?. I know she's a girl, but you'd just bring up a girl with daddy issues and possible cause a man in the future to experience the same thing as you did. But like you said, most grown up so called women, stay away.
