That’s why the judge said (paraphrasing) “the harm this did or could have caused.” For a completely inequivalent analogy, planting a bomb in Times Square is a crime, even if it doesn’t ever detonate.

Hopefully she gets what she wants. She can go into a treatment facility where her time is determined by a doctor who will never believe her claims of "I'm all better now." It's really easy to convince people that you're crazy. It's a lot harder to convince them that you're sane again.

Your criticism suggests you're only reading things topically and not extrapolating between all that is contained within TRP. I don't get satisfaction from paying my taxes. Or taking out the trash. Or fixing broken shit in my house (vs buying new shit). Are you saying I should ditch all that? That's what it sounds like you're saying... "Some weird honor code" eh? That's all a man's word is to you? I already qualified my statement by restricting this to guys who, despite the best advice on here, e…

You're right, and ima let you finish, but I have to add in here that there is also that small percentage out there that want to fuck, but for some reason can't. I'm only bringing this up because if you decide to get into a serious LTR (which means you were either too late to the pill or aren't swallowing) and your chick gets genuinely sick and can't fuck, it's super bad form to next her on that alone. True leaders don't run away from commitments they've made just because they start to regret the…

This right here. If a woman is happy and doesn't have anything to complain about... she's not happy. This is why women will leave the perfect man in the perfect situation saying some bullshit about finding themselves. Women aren't able to look at things objectively, only in terms of relation to self. Therefore, they can't properly ascertain their own position in life without comparing it to something else. Usually, women go for comparing themselves to their friends, but on regular occasion they …

You can also see the desperation for validation in her pictures. She's showing off leg in every one, and she's practically got her tit hanging out in that pic with the green shirt. Plus, her smiles look pained, not genuinely happy. I call AWALT.y bet is she's writing this to boost her own ego. She's upset that she's stuck with her second choice to Chad, and she's justifying her social position by saying "oh, I could have had anyone i wanted, but that would have made me a bad person," thereby mak…

Now, now, don't pick and choose from the article. It immediately goes on to note that the two of them were 22 minutes ahead of the 3rd place, who is mathematically at least some small amount ahead of the others. More importantly, for male->female, you have to show your testosterone levels are below a cut-off point for at least a full year before your event. And you have to actively take steps to keep it below. I don't need a gold medal bad enough to castrate myself...

They blame the other guy because either they don't want to acknowledge that their woman isn't satisfied with just them, or because they want to be able to go back to how things were, and for that cognitive dissonance to work, you have to avoid blaming her with anything that would show she is not innocent. It's a beta bitch move, either way.

My wife fucks me five out of seven nights. She cooks me what I want for dinner. She has gotten into the gym habit with me. She has changed her diet to keep up with me. She puts on makeup and dresses up nice when we are just staying at home so she "can look pretty for me" (her own words). When I say we're going somewhere, she gets ready. While red pill isn't just about the dating and banging, there are certainly those who will focus on that aspect. If that's what you're after, then spend some time learning how to spot the hamster, how to get it spinning on its wheel, and how to direct that force of nature where you want it. With effort and practice, you can learn how to take a woman through a whole range of emotions (women love those emotional roller coasters) that will end with bringing her into your frame, ready for you to tak…

But, circling back to my original comment, the only reason you'd give any advice in the first place is because you naturally care. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that. You're stepping in on the first guy because he's going to hurt himself. Lots of dickwads would just wait for it to happen and laugh, maybe even record it to put it on Reddit. You're saying you would proactively step in and help prevent injury. That's more than most people would do in most situations (see: Bystander …

That's kind of why I don't recommend marriage. In my case, everything worked out. The debt was insignificant to me, plus she managed to pull enough side jobs to handle her debt on her own, so everything worked out. Not something I'd recommend to anyone else, though.

I believe there's a tax form called an "injured spouse" amendment or something that lets you get out of responsibility for debts incurred prior to marriage. I didn't find TRP until about 9 years married, but way back at the beginning, I used the injured spouse thing to avoid my taxes being hit harder because of her debts. Applying TRP has definitely taken my marriage up a few notches, for both of us, but I'd still tell any single guy to stay away from marriage. Even though I'm perfectly happy in…

There's something here you're a bit off on. Asking the sommelier for advice in front of your woman is not a bad thing, provided you have something else you are good at, and that you ask the question in the right way. No man can know everything. The greatest leaders were great because they surrounded themselves with experts and knew when to consult with them, and how to integrate their advice into their own master plans. Trying to know everything will make you an expert in nothing - to paraphrase…

Not true. Machiavelli only said it is better to be feared than loved IF you can't get both. The stern father figure who loves you tremendously but will bring down a righteous hammer of authority on anyone who disobeys him is one of the archetypes of someone who is both loved and feared. Some amount of nice guy is required to pull that off. If played properly, it strengthens your case as an alpha, making you someone who is reasonable and capable of being nice, instead of coming off like a complet…

Oh, we've been married 11 years. It's been two years since the last time she threatened divorce during a fight. But yeah, stay away from weddings. I didn't find TRP until after I was hitched. Too late for me, soldier, save yourself.

Not that this will work for everyone, but even before I found TRP I always told my wife I fantasized about cutting all cords and living like a wild man in the woods. When we eventually went through our main event (see MRP glossary) I made some point about how if we were seriously going to divorce, I would just blow all our money on the lawyers, burn our shit to the ground, and then I'd finally be free to live my dream. I see what you mean, and I do agree with you in principle, but, in this particular case, I think there's an extra factor in that the kid agreed to go. There was obviously some sort of discussion about what would happen, and the kid gave all the signals that it would be enjoyed. That's what takes this beyond a covert contract in my eyes. Had his daughter said from the start "no, dad, I'm not really interested in flying kites anymore," and that's where he got butt-hurt, then yeah, you and I would …

I think you're reaching a bit far here. By your definition, every time you try to do something nice for someone else without talking to them about it, you'd be establishing a covert contract. By what you say, even getting someone a birthday gift would be a break in frame, since you'd be giving someone something you EXPECT them to like. There was no covert contract here. OP has flown kites with his kid(s) before. He has first-hand experience with these individuals and has seen their reactions. He…

I think the important part is, as previously said, showing that you consider yourself fair game. That's about it. Open up the line to any challengers by giving a goods quip about yourself. Then drop it. If no one picks up after you, you're in fine shape. If anyone steps up to continue, you're ready to respond in kind. But yeah, don't do it to apologize for another joke, or because you think picking on yourself is in anyway helpful. Just the once to let everyone see that you're a fair player.

See, that's the thing, branch swinging, which women are really good at, requires you're still holding onto the first branch. In your case and OPs, the first branch broke and the bitch fell back to ground before she could grab another one. In order to get back up and swing, she's gotta climb a tree first. Your tree is the closest one around, so there you have it.

This is good separation from the emotion, from the pedestal. If you eat half a hot pocket and put it on the counter cuz you're done, you don't really get upset if your friends want to eat the rest of it. You're just like "ew, are you sure? I got my fluids all over that..." And if they're still game, you shrug your shoulders and let them at it. You should think of your exes the same way. Who cares if your friends go after them? You're done, you're not the one losing anything. Just warn them you a…

BTW: the answer to your question is that Kate was upset you were giving someone else your attention. She was hoping you'd chase after her and apologize and try to make it up to her. That's how she bends you into her frame. Your best bet was to let her go off and be pouty somewhere else. Don't engage in her narrative. You're the start of the scene, so anyone who walks off stage is out until they return. Six months later, there's not much to say to bring that case back, but you should have followe…

The problem with unicorns (besides them not existing) is even if you do find one, everyone will be all up on your shit trying to take it from you. If you aren't happy with riding a normal horse, go get a zebra, or even a donkey. Just stop chasing unicorns. It's the only way you'll find happiness in a relationship.

Don't even rely on your own mother. After all, AWALT. I've heard plenty of stories of mothers trying to betafy their own sons. Better to do your best to build a meaningful relationship with your father, or some other male role model, and turn to them for the emotional support you seek. Never trust a woman with your heart. Anger follows the same rules of success as Desire. What you call "hot fire" is the type of anger most commonly caused by frustration. A sort of berserk phase one enters when the difference between their expectations and what they experience are too far apart to reconcile. Think deeply about the times you've been in this state. Maybe you were trying to be rational, and someone else was being willfully ignorant. Maybe you just couldn't see how things fit together the way someone else said they did…

Not sure if you're focusing on something I'm missing, but it sounds like you're actually agreeing with me? "Unlucky" may be handed to you, in which case it's your call whether you accept that or not. But to say that you didn't get that promotion, or that girl didn't want to have sex with you, because you're "just unlucky" is bullshit. Amen. Most people live by the rule of 3 strikes, I only give people 2. If they fuck it up once, maybe they didn't realize what they were doing, I let them know it's a problem, and I won't tolerate it again. Second time they make the same mistake? They're either doing it intentionally, or they're dumb. Either way, I'm cutting bait.
/r/TheRedPill13/04/16 11:23 PM
2

Disagree. Nobody goes to the doctor and seeks psychological or medicinal treatment for being "unlucky." "Unlucky," at least as far as english goes, is, and always has been, a term that removes the ownership of the results of a situation or set of circumstances from the person it is attached to, and places fault squarely at the feet of a non-tangible, non-measurable, non-controllable force. "Unlucky," like the word "Tried," is just a term that allows one to avoid owning their failures.
/r/TheRedPill13/04/16 10:11 PM
3

That's the most basic, primal evaluation of utility in economics. Is the net result of ownership a total positive, or a total negative? If you thought you made that up yourself, you might want to expand your familiarity with that subject. There might be a lot more you can learn about calculating whether someone is a valuable friend, a worthwhile friend, or a complete waste of time.

Just put the camera in a big bright orange case in the middle of your ceiling. If the camera is out and obvious, and it's in your own home, then it's perfectly legal to record whatever. Hiding the camera is what makes it illegal. Normally they'd say "you can't record in a place where privacy would be expected" but your giant bright orange camera makes it clear that such privacy should not be expected in your room. Also a nice deterrent, as the girls should get a reasonable sense of what it means…

Married here. Been cheated on. Not true. Reaction is the same as it would be to anyone else who wronged you. You immediately seek retribution and vengeance. The difference is the rage burns hotter and longer, since it was done by someone you trusted. How one moves on from there is impacted by their amount of alpha or beta. A beta will blame himself, accepting that he just didn't do enough to keep her interest, and that she was right to go find what was missing elsewhere. More extreme cases, beli…

Ambiguity and not knowing will hurt you far more than the worst possible answer ever will. Staying in a state of limbo means you can never actually move on with your life. you'll always be stuck at this point, wondering whether the child is or isn't yours. Get an answer to that question, and then you can decide whether it matters or not. Even if the child is not yours, you would at least be able to grieve from the deception and move on with your life as you best see fit.

I'm saying we know what they're trying to do, so it's our fault if we let them win. I'm saying the captain who gives up his role to the FO is at fault for the FO being in charge. Regardless of how hard or unethically the FO worked to make that happen, it was the captain that ultimately gave in and stepped down. A captain's responsibility is hars…

This guy gets it. The whole point of TRP is to encourage you to go out and take what you want. If you haven't gotten what you want in your life, you only have yourself to blame for not working hard enough to get it. Blaming other people for your lack of achievement is a victim mentality, and does not help you change the outcome you're complaining about. Own your shit, like this guy.

I certainly agree that women are largely responsible for this sad state of affairs Leaders shouldn't blame followers for poor leadership. That's like saying it's the First Officer's fault that the captain is shitty and they had to take over, but they're not as good as a captain. Nothing in that is a surprise, or even inappropriate, once we establish the failure of the captain. The captain doesn't get to be mad at the FO that he fucked up his job and the FO wasn't as good. If the FO was as good a…

Length varies for each person, but since her mom isn't actually dead, I'd expect it to drag on longer than normal since its a choice that can be undone, and therefore insulting to your wife. Tests will definitely be more intense as your wife wants to make sure she lost her last connection to her family for a damn good reason. she will need me to be an oak more often than usual. How much is that when the "usual" is already always? Your wife should have time to grieve the loss of the relationship, but she should be encouraged to find a way to move on with her life, the same as if her mother had actually died. You should be taking the place of your wife's parents in terms of where she should seek and receive validation. True, all women want the same 20% of men, but eventually, they hit the wall and realize they aren't getting that, and they settle down for beta bux. In the past, these women would settle for the lesser men, just as they do elsewhere, because they had no options. When there aren't any women, you don't even get someone to settle for you. You just get forgotten.

Your initial point is still way off-base from the MRP philosophy. We don't do these things for the women we're with. We do these things to become better men. If see not willing to take even a few steps toward the middle ground, than any compromising that OP does is simply giving up frame to move toward her, and shifts the power that direction as well.

They accept converts, just as any other religion. And there's nothing in their religion that would predispose them toward being exclusionary. Not like Islam, where it's okay to murder non-believers... It's more a case of them being a small number, and therefore being easy to pick on. From the Egyptians to the Romans to the Nazis, it has been extremely easy to say "wow, look at those guys who are way different than us. Everything that is wrong with our society must be because of those guys, becau…

Less concerned with that individual user as I am with taking advantage of the opportunity to remind anyone reading the comments that we're each responsible for our own outcomes, and to point the finger at others and complain that we're suffering because of someone else is the same as saying "I'm not willing to take ownership of my own life, I rely on everyone else to define the quality of my life." Partial agree. Don't get pissed at the woman, because AWALT, and it would be validating her. Instead, get pissed that you have to find a new woman again, and start training her to sex you up the right way. Do it in a way that incorporates some plausible deniability and a healthy dose of humor, and she'll get the point... You will replace her the instant you're not getting the value you deserve from your relationship.

Being non-reactive is a different matter than being active or even proactive. TRP advocates that you not fall into other people's frame. This. As long as you retain control of the ship, I would actually encourage you let her make the plans every now and then. If nothing else, it will remind her of what kind of effort you put into the relationship the rest of the time. Avoid certs whenever possible. They require constant upkeep, and many managers perceive them as requiring to pay you more money than the high school grad down the road who has been doing the same shit for the last ten years and posting his stuff online (so he's already "published"). I think we're coming closer and closer to agreeing. Either of us could be right in any given situation. The real defining factor, I think, is: does the boss I question profit from the company's success, or only his own? The problem with this is that people you aren't trying to date do love it when you act beta towards them and act towards them like they're above you. This is especially true if it's your boss. Depends on the boss. A truly good boss does NOT want you to be so beta around him that he has to hold your hand and do your work for you. Managers hire subordinates to take work off of their plates, not to be able to add the title of "babysitter" to their resume. When I understand the objective my boss wan…

You can have an LTR without having oneitis. Oneitis is a condition in which you allow yourself to become a complete beta bitch for a woman because you believe she is the only one you could ever love. That's a bit beyond just being in a monogamous relationship with a woman you could love. As a married guy who used to suffer from oneitis, but has since been cured (thanks to the antibiotics of a certain red pill), I can tell you there is a very attractive aspect of having a woman trained to sex you…

Bad listening would be if I didn't have answers for every question when they were asked, if I didn't know when to say "got it," or if I was turning in work that didn't meet the criteria. Since none of those apply, it's merely a form of aloofness. I'm listening, I'm doing as directed, but I'm also contemplating deeper issues. It depends on the boss. Mine has a neurotic desire to be seen as alpha, but you can tell it's from insecurity. I don't think oneitis is encouraged by MarriedRP. Oneitis is a disease in which you suffer extreme willingness to lay down and proselytize yourself at great expense for the benefit of a woman. Thank goodness for pre-natal paternity tests. On the other hand, if she's on BC, then she could be more inclined to cheat, since there's less chance of any long-term repercussions. I salute you for being confident in your relationship, but I think TRP would caution that you're playing a sort of Russian Roulette. Hopefully, you're running tig…

No. Lying =/= cheating. However, cheating = lying. All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares. Read the article linked in the OP, and you'll get some more examples of what lying means in that context (one example: saying you're great in bed when you suck).

The whole first phase of TRP is called the "anger phase" for a reason. The thing is, though, that, eventually, we are supposed to work our way out of that phase, and onto bigger and better things. Other places (TwoX is the go-to example) are what we refer to as a "bucket of crabs", where everyone pulls everyone else down to stay at the same level. Nobody benefits from that kind of hatred. Here, we get angry, we work it out, we grow up, and we move on. I've been here just about 3 months, and seen…

"I want to be free to be weak" I'm going to split a single hair with you here. I agree that it is wrong to want to be weak. However, it's perfectly fine to want the freedom to be weak. I was considering that as I wrote that, but I'm not sure. If we are to judge by how women act, and not what they say, then this is probably the closest example to a holiday where men are allowed, possibly even expected, to act like betas and focus on providing and comforting. But, then again, if you don't do it with the flair and style of an alpha, you get shit on for not loving her enough to "make it special". So I'm torn on this, and want to leave it up to the rest of the RP community to decid…

"Tradition"? This is not something that our parents, and those that came before them, have done for generations... This doesn't go back any further than the 90's, at best. It's exactly what you said it is: Halloween is the one time of the year when women can dress up as sluts and be completely not judged for it. Every woman wants to not be judged as being a slut, but still be a slut. Is there a time each year that men get to be pitiful betas and not get judged for it? If not, I don't think we sh…

It is unilaterally bad in the scenario you described, wherein you cannot/will not have your own children with the woman. However, my experience suggests there are rare cases where it may not be the worst decision you could make. Though, having since come to TRP, I would caution that it is definitely a risky game to play. Lots of obstacles to overcome if you go this route. I'm going to go against the grain here, but only by a little bit, and it's from the perspective of maintaining LTR. The issue isn't who actually executes the action of paying the bills. The issue is who is in charge of making sure the bills get paid. I don't see anything wrong with telling your woman "Go pay the electricity bill." As far as I'm aware, humans don't release "true" pheromones. Pheromones are a subset of all of the possible chemical compounds an animal body can release, of which scents are another, though closely related, subset. There are definitely subtle scents that some people will find attractive, and others will find disgusting (look at Cilantro - half the population thinks it smells/tastes like rotting flesh). That's a fair request. I am a programmer, so it is very intuitive for me to break down thought processes into logical true/false statements. Alternative approach (for those going for LTR game, at least): Give her a crappy ring with the proposal, and once she accepts have one of your parents, or other family members, give her a better ring as a "conditional gift". The worst is when she would be all lovey-dovey when we were alone but during class (one example) it would almost seem as though she was ignoring me. even though I only really appreciated J (fuck oneitis). Keep swallowing that pill. When it gets all the way down, you'll learn that you don't have to appreciate girls that treat you like shit in front of others. That's just a power play to keep you guessing while also showing to everyone else that she's a free a…

This. Or, to put it another way: Women judge comparatively, while men judge objectively. When a guy rates a chick as a 5/10, it's because that is the final result after tallying up all of her pros and cons. It has nothing to do with other women or the man, himself. Simply a pure and objective evaluation of that individual girl. When a woman rates you as a 5/10, it's in comparison to what she thinks she can pull. And, as we know, when they hit the wall, they start to reevaluate what they can pull…

I tried to imagine, too. Then I remembered we have the internet. Then I spent only 15 seconds on Google. Additional information: None of the muscles you want to engage for your torso workouts are in your arms - they're all in the actual torso. Such as: when doing pull downs, use your lats to pull your arms down, do not use your biceps to pull the bar down. If you've been doing lifting right for any amount of time, then duh, of course you know that. But, the reason I bring this up is to highlight…

I think you might be confusing "intelligence" with "wisdom". I see far more comments about how women are subversive, manipulative, deceitful, self-centered, egotistical, competitive, and backstabbing than I see comments about them being unintelligent. I would argue that it takes tremendous amounts of intelligence for women to pull off all the shit they do. It takes Machiavellian levels of political machinations for them to pull off laws like "Yes means Yes". It takes James Bond levels of subterf…

Agreed, hence why I noted that such a behavior would antagonize, rather than placate her or diffuse the situation. However, sometimes, when you already have the proper frame established, and some history with successful RP practice under your belt, then, such a move might be played as an Agree & Amplify, so long as the proper tone is used to show that you aren't truly offended.

My favorite mantra when dealing with my wife is from Marcus Aurelius: "One should be neither surprised nor offended when a fig tree produces figs." Why get upset at something you should, by now recognize as an impending result from your action? Why have you not yet learned to stop performing that action? That's like stepping into the street at 4:05 and being surprised that the 4:05 bus just hit you. Next time, just stare at her with no expression on your face, no response at all. When she says "…

If I can hold turn this ship all the way around, and put this marriage on the right tracks, then why nuke it? On the other hand, if I can't, and it ends, then it ends. Oh well, I'll live. Not in the least. But being an old school gentleman is incompatible with today's social landscape (at least here in the US/West). Old school gentleman had no problem holding a lady accountable to her duties (good cleaning, good cooking, good sex), not giving in to her whimsical demands, and all around accepting that women had no capacity for cold logic and reason, only emotional hamstering. Agreed on the general point, but there are other reasons that can prompt the shift. Also, if you notice the way women are "writing" articles these days, you'll see that there is a trend of women becoming more open about their hypergamy and the CC. Feminism has convinced them to not be so ashamed about it anymore, so now they're starting to talk openly about it. On the other side, men are shamed into "not judging" and thus, it slowly becomes the cultural norm for women to openly talk (and subsequ…

So, in that sense, it was based in "natural" phenomenon. However, it tends to make much more sense in human created conditions, like big business and the sort. Personally, I'm mich more a fan of the golden ratio as well as percentages that don't look so clean, so I like your idea about it being 76.4% instead of 80.

Just to clarify: Girl didn't do what you wanted. You nexted girl. This behavior is not oneitis. I'm sure it was a tough move for you, but in the end your actions show that you define your own values, and don't shape them to the desires of others. May be worth considering dropping her a text or ema that says "if you ever want to reconsider 'trying before buying', give me a call. I still think you'd be a great partner." Added bonus: typing this up on mobile, reconsider missed a letter and was auto…

You can't force anyone to take the pill anymore than you can force them to eat right by their own volition. People need to want to take the pill for it to work. Considering your situation, don't waste the effort on your dad. Spend it on yourself, instead, and hope that you can lead him down the right path by example. As far as the situation goes with your mom - stop interacting with your mom as much as possible until she starts to behave like a reasonable person (which may never happen). You pro…

This. OP, you're up against some tough shit, for sure, and it's good you can acknowledge that you're not alpha yet. But you're not dealing with anything that hasn't been dealt with before, to most extents. But if you just throw up your hands and say "yeah, I'm cool with being beta" then your situation isn't going to change, and you won't get that relationship you want. Take one lesson from your time in the armed forces - "never give up the fight" - and start putting that to work in your real lif…

Echoing most of the comments here - if you don't believe you deserve these women, they won't believe it, either. Also, you don't have to break out from being an introvert. I'm not even sure you physically can even change that about yourself. Moreso, you don't necessarily want to, if you're following RP philosophy. Being an introvert (and I know because I am one) means you recharge your ki by being alone and "decompressing". That's it. That's all being an introvert really means - hanging out with…

What's that? You want a wall of text? Well... since you asked... Personally, I think "manipulation" is amoral. In and of itself, manipulation is too broad a term to be good or evil. It is simply the act of causing someone or something else to act toward your designs. Every way you interact with the world is a form of manipulation. Eating your cereal is manipulating your bowl, fork, and some milk-drenched puffed rice. Manipulating people, as you've already stated, does not require it be a negativ…

I think... maybe you're too wrapped up in your idea of what the message "should be" that you're missing what the message actually "is"... Stop looking at movies from your old BP "Disney Princess" perspective. Look at this from a truly RP perspective. There is no "happily ever after", there never was, so it's not Jenny's fault that Forest doesn't get to live there. It's his own fault for never opening his eyes and seeing that he couldn't achieve that dream. They soften the blow in the movie by ma…

What, exactly, is it about the feminist movement that you consider to be "authentic"? No matter how deeply a woman is ingrained into feminism, the statement "I am a feminist" is now adays a very Orwellian concept - "favoring women over men is gender equality". Right up there with "slavery is freedom" and "ignorance is power". In that way, no feminist is ever "authentic".

I don't remember the post, but within the last few weeks, someone posted that just holding frame and saying "there's no need" saved them when they got surrounded by several thugs that kept asking "you wanna fight?" The guy didn't instigate with them, but didn't back down either. Just kept saying "there's no need for it." They ended up respecting the combo of fearlessness and self control, and he went home with all of his possessions and body parts. I'd say the best thing you can do when one of t…

Petty sure that's a bad idea, too. If you get accused of rape, you're going to want to keep as much attention OFF of you as possible. In today's court of public opinion, sexual assault cases are "guilty until proven not guilty, but you'll never be viewed as innocent ever again". Look at all the college frat boys who were able to prove they did rape that girl, but still have been blacklisted from life because it's too close for the comfort of most others. Everyone assumes rape first, coercion sec…

I would say professional arena field experience. I'm successful in my sales oriented job because I've learned how to take control of a situation or conversation, and steer it toward what I want to focus on. If you think about it, every interaction you have with other people is about some type of selling... Usually just of an idea, but you need to convince someone to "buy" that idea. I've also had a long time moderate fascination with psychology. So, end result is that I'm conversationally fluent…

Just a word of warning... you probably shouldn't take girls like that home, even if their friends don't stop you... Seems like a too much of risk she'll wake up with hangover regrets, and since everyone "knows" she's a lesbian, it would be WAY too easy for her to call rape on account of "he took advantage of me while I was drunk, and everyone knows drunk girls can't give consent!"

Just make sure you fake it well. Use techniques that highlight the things you're already good at (pending contextual appropriateness), because confidence naturally comes along with familiarity. Don't force a situation to be something familiar, but look for the traits and patterns in a new situation that remind you of something you've already experienced - once you have that familiarity linked to your current situation, you can relax, because you've done this before, and confidence will start to …

So, the answer is actually very straight forward, but that's boring, so I've over-complicated it for you by writing it up as a 3 step maneuver: 1) When all your friends start crowding around you, make some kind of humorous comment about how everyone always follows what you do. I'll leave the specific wording up to you and the context of the situation. This step, itself, has 2 benefits: 1.A) Anyone who doesn't want to be perceived as a follower will defensively go find something else to do, thus …

Now that is something I can get behind. You're definitely better off for being who you are. That's the point of this thing, after all. To accelerate her departure from being a source of pain in your life, force the right actions that will help your mind get back to the proper state (aka: fake it 'till you make it). Go strike up conversations with attractive females, and don't stop until you get 5 numbers. Take it as far as you can. If those 5 don't work out, go get 5 more. You'll be a lot less c…

I'm not sure I read this right... You told her you were leaving, and then bee-lined right back to her to throw in some drama and some sour grapes? I'm not sure that's a case of holding frame, but rather just being aggressive. Perhaps even unnecessarily so. I guess it depends on your history with her, and what purpose that maneuver served. No one seemed to be challenging you, though, so your frame doesn't seem to have been in need of holding. Frame is your sense of self, your boundaries, your ded…

It's not even dependent upon rationality (or lack thereof). It's instinctual - they all eventually seek out the BB for the long term provision. AF/BB is a spectrum, and it's possible to be both, though anything approaching 50/50 is dangerous, for sure. Given nature's preference for certain patterns, I'd bet that the Golden Ratio applies here, and it's probably something like 2/3rds Alpha and 1/3 BB (that would fit with the 1 time you respond with "I love you too" for every 2 times you just nod a…

And theory goes that a genuine "alpha" has no real problem with other people thinking he's a beta, because he simply DGAF. And in truly NGAF, will be able to defy the hierarchy that has labeled him a beta, and display to those that subscribe to said hierarchy that he isn't really a beta (because he isn't conforming to their expectations, like a good beta would). Ergo, a "real" alpha should be free to use beta-ness when it serves his designs, and be smart enough to avoid it when it is not benefic…

This. It's never too Late to become better than you were, and instead of spending your efforts beating yourself up (not that op is, just callin' out to everyone), you should spend your time making yourself better, and (where appropriate) lend a hand to your fellow men to help them back up on their feet. From what I see, there are 3 basic ways to approach this (though likely a large number of variations) Option 1: focus all of your time on 1 skill at a time (I recommend in order of most immediately valuable -> least, but NEVER waste your time on something that will never give you enough ROI). You should try to progress extremely fast through each skill (adjusting for natural competency and understanding). Your repertoire will grow slowly, but more thoroughly. You will be a true expert on only a …

Good call on restocking on raincoats, but if you're definitely done with kids, go for the vasectomy. Two of my coworkers went that route, and say it's well worth it. Not sure, but I'd put my bet on the point where you gave her your actual age. Hard to say if that's a mess up though, because you still got the number afterward, but it does seem like there was a mini power struggle there, and you ultimately caved and gave her what she wanted. In the future, if a girl is pressing that hard to get something out of you, turn that into leverage over her. Make her meet up with you, do something for you, or whatever, in exchange for the answer. Don't allow her beggin…

Young boys are like untrained dogs. They are predatory and physical in nature. Engage their bodies first, and then their mind will become open to you. Do a physical game first, let the boys get some of that energy out. Then sit everyone down for two educational but calm pieces. Then a physical game again, then more thought. Make use of the golden ratio. For every 2 bits of thoughtful work they do, give them 1 physical game. Make sure they know that if they don't participate properly in the "bori…

Personally, I'd skip on "I apologize", but the other two work well. The best mentality is to acknowledge that the choice was wrong, but NOT being apologetic for having made that choice. Try replacing "Sorry" with something along the lines of "Yep. I/We'll do better next time." It acknowledges any mistakes, circumstances, situations, etc., without being remorseful for having led the charge in the first place. NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR LEADING!

Depends on one's hair type. If one sheds easiy or a lot, one may want to trim (not necessarily shave bald), so one doesn't have to worry about loose hair interfering (while kissing, while banging in the kitchen over a pot of mac & cheese, whateves). Or if one's chest hair is unpleasant to touch (spikey, pube-like, etc.), or excessive, it is definitely worth considering. Undeniably, lots of women like men with hair on their chests.
