100% agree with McNasty and Skanky. lol Having empathy and showing it in front of your kids is a real demonstration of masculinity. You can also feel good that the life you built with her was better, happier and more stable than what she has alone. Feeling good about yourself and celebrating your positive contributions is not the same as feeling bad about her current situation. They can coexist. I am really sorry you are experiencing this and sorry her mental health has worsened. I have experience with a bipolar partner, am in the midst of my own divorce and I am getting fucked financially too. Plus, my in-laws play the same role too.
