And this is one of those situations where, with an appropriate amount of journalistic objectivity, could affect a change in society. A very, very small change of course, but the fact that reading it can cause somebody to dissociate a little bit from the stereotyped narrative, if it happens enough, can change the opinion of a common person. But, then again, journalistic objectivity and integrity in the US? Is that still a thing?

It's what was stated in my medical records. No forcible retraction. I guess not every body is the same.. Either they were falsified or I had something incredibly rare I deserve a spot on Ripley's believe it or not.

Obviously with a Citizen's arrent, you need to make sure your shits in a row so you don't get nailed with false imprisonment / kidnapping / forceful confinement / whatever your government calls it. What is the standard of evidence you'd need for you to be able to protect yourself?

Holy crap that must have been a nightmare! This makes me think of this: Is there an app out there that will start recording on voice command in cases like this? I saw a video once of a guy who was being harassed by police who yelled something like "Record record record!" when the police took his phone away. That recording exonerated him.

In my opinion, naming and shaming "deadbeats" so publicly is putting child support arrears to the same standard as child molesters and murderous fugitives. I have no issue with the ministry using all the resources at their disposal to locate deadbeats. I disagree with naming and shaming in any circumstance but the most heinous.

Somebody on here needs to type up a nice looking legal document to take with them. So that women can sign them. While they're not intoxicated. Do you understand, at some point in the next 72 hours, sexual contact with the aforementioned male may occur? ... Do you understand this sexual contact not only includes acts of vaginal penetration, but may also include kissing, holding hands, and brushing of hair? ... Do you understand that this SEXUAL CONDUCT AGREEMENT may never be rescinded? ... Do you…

I live in kingston, ontario, and somebody got stabbed a night before Janice Fiamengo made a presentation. The stabbed person was a well known feminist, and it was spun to look like avfm was responsible.

A voice for men has earned a reputation of being a bit extremist. They welcome all MRAs, from the moderates to the batshit crazies. This is something the feminists will jump all over, "Why does your opinion matter when your group stabbed 2 people last year!!??" I recommended CAFE or "Canadian association for equality" as a better organization to gain traction.

Have you thought about running for president of the SA, using this as a campaign goal? Replace the head and the body follows. Then you can have this position replaced with one that's more useful. Appeal to the LBGT community, they'd love this!

Where's the position that covers men's issues, too, then? If they're not willing to budge on the matter, find out statistics on female/male attendance at the college. I'm willing to wager it's nearly a 50/50 split. That's a significant lack of representation, possibly a violation of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. At the very least, demand that men pay less than women, as they're not being provided the same services. It may only amount to pennies, but it sends a, clear message. If I…

Is this position paid out of your pocket from activity fees? Then, yes, you have a right to cause a shitstorm if your right to vote is denied. Assuming it's a position within the student association, check their charter on by-elections. I'm sure at no point in there does it say "Only women may vote for women." Representation is just that: representation. I'd definitely get in touch with the National post. /r/legaladvice may also be able to provide more help. I'm sure there's something in the Cor…

Damn. So birth rights, and by extension contraception, which feminism fights for, had parts of its research contributed to by Nazi Gerwan doctors who experimented on human hosts. Surprise surprise! No one in this thread has provided any evidence of your argument, either, but, it reinforces the huge anti-woman sentiment present in the sub, so evidence isn't needed. Self-referencing support isn't support at all; it's like stating "Apples are orange because I say so."

Wow, fascinating. I'm on my tablet right now so no concrete source but I just read an article stating that they never actually listed us as a hate group, but did criticize some members of our community as misogynist. I found the article by literally searching SPLC So it would seem some people 'paraphrased' the article in their own construct, and this led to the whole hate group nonsense. Kind of like how an assault in a woman in my hometown was construed as a feminist vs. MRA thing and nearly st…

That's because with many jobs you negotiate your salary, as opposed to keeling over and accepting a crappy wage, and then complaining to ya girlfriends, Ya'll, men are oppressing me. Ya know, I think there was already a system where you get paid equally regardless of sex, wasn't it called commu-something? If I recall that turned out real well for human development!

This is great and all, people should be responsible for their actions and corresponding reputation. (KEEP READING before you downvote, plesse) What I take issue with, is the fact that an app like this for women "empowers" them whereas an app for men simply "slut shames" and "slut shares" women. Another issue is how is such information verified. For example, I break up with a woman and she writes false information on there about me in a sort of "I can't have him, so nobody will" attitude. Boom, s…
