i was on the bojack horseman subreddit and left a totally polite normal comment mentioning that i appreciated how the show alludes to feminism without shoving it down my throat like so many other shows do.

i got downvoted to hell and someone replied with “i hate women” in quotations. i myself am an egalitarian woman. like...what? so frustrating having even basic interactions with any of these people.

Literally happened to me on a subreddit called FundieSnark. I posted about a fundamentalist Christian and how I’m against the stuff she preaches and casually mentioned I’m not feminist (it was related because the Christian in question also isn’t so I was trying to draw a similarity and say - see, I’m also not a feminist but I disagree with her). I immediately got attacked really rudely, saying that I’m an anti-woman woman who can’t think clearly if I’m proud of saying such things as “I’m not a feminist”. And that I’m no better than the fundie herself. Uh. Ok.
