the interesting part was that the Vogue article addressed exactly that
still, the provocative headline was celebrated by many misandrists, with some saying that having a bf "feels Republican" (referring to the US GOP) or "spiritually Israeli" or whatever vague-yet-scathing insult that they can come up with

I don’t disagree with anything stated in the post. It could genuinely be intended to help women recognize unhealthy perceptions which correlate relationship status with self-worth, in which case I would fully support it.
But why focus solely on women when many men could benefit from reading this as well? Why make yet another pointlessly gendered issue instead of appealing to all who are suffering from the modern media shitshow?
There’s nothing misandrist about stating that a woman’s worth should not be defined by status of any kind. The same is true of men. However, it is obviously neglecting to recognize that men face these same psychosocial pressures by mention of “womanhood” as if to imply the concept doesn’t also apply to “manhood.”
In short, I do support the message. I don’t find it to be hateful or misandrist. However, it’s clearly omissive of the statements’ universality, which makes me at least a little suspicious of their motivations.
