You're well on the way--"girls are very materialistic," for instance, is a cornerstone stereotype. So your job right now is to keep reminding yourself that your experiences, likely limited by your age, are far from universal. Be open to the idea that maybe you're wrong, and when you go out without those preconceived negative ideas, I can't guarantee you'll find what you're looking for, but the search will be easier.

And BTW, the whole "girls will leave the moment something better comes along"--the evidence I've seen shows that men are more prone to do that. "I'm rich and my wife's getting wrinkly, time to trade her in!" Just something to remember.

You've formed opinions based upon your experiences. You think your experiences can be extrapolated to apply to all/most of society, which isn't true. No, relationships are not a constant struggle--people actually want to be with and enjoy being with their significant other. Most people also have little worry that their significant other is going to leave them for an "alpha," the thought is laughable to me.

First of all, as others have noted, you are a young. There is no possible way you have everything figured out at your age. Certainatly not about women. You need to realize that you still have so much to learn. Look forward to it.

And you know what? That's true for those around you. You say girls are all materialistic and give a 16 year old as an example. They're young too. Young people in general tend to be materialistic and self absorbed. Men and women both. We grow out of it. But if you only look at the people just like you, you won't realize it.

I pretty much think that all ladies will instantly go for the 'chad' in the group (I had some sort of that concept before), and that relationships are a constant struggle - that the girl can leave in any second and go for the better guy

Same goes for guys though, right?

Girls are constantly paranoid that guys will leave them for the prettier girl, and when given an opportunity, most guys ditch their gfs if a hotter option comes around. This is just something people do, not just girls.
