Crosspost "The “not all men” crowd is at it again." from /r/Feminism:

On one of the off my chest subs, a woman shared her experience with being assaulted by her male gyno as a minor. She went on to say she has a distrust of male gynos now and that she personally wouldn’t let a girl minor see one until they’re an adult. I read her entire post and my heart broke for her. She was violated by that man and no one ever faced consequences but her.

The comments are awful. She has 0 support from anyone. All people are doing is calling her sexist and “femcel.” I expect that behavior from men but woooow is there a lot of women saying the same thing. The kicker? A lot of these women are calling themselves feminists and acting like it’s “gender inequality” to speak about not trusting men. And there’s the fake- supportive comments that start out with “i’m sorry for your experience” but then end like “BUT this has nothing to do with gender so stop being sexist.” They couldn’t just say sorry for her experience, no, they also had to call her sexist for sharing the experience.

I made a comment about how “not all men” is a tool of the opressor and of course I have been downvoted into oblivion and I have several people continuing with the not all men rhetoric. It’s moments like these that I lose all hope in women ever being respected because a lot of women are doing the disrespecting too. I just feel so tired of seeing women be shut down by not only men, but other women who use the feminist label to hide their internalized misogony.

Anyways, i’m sorry, i just wanted to vent. My heart is breaking for the women who find the strength to speak out and then get shut down so vehemently. It’s awful.
