Sexbots will be clunky and expensive as fuck for probably decades to come but I don't see much point in them either since VR is improving constantly so all you really need is a next gen VR device and some peripherals.

Even current gen VR + fleshlight launch or something similar is good enough to the point where it's basically like 80% porn at the moment, would be 100% but im sometimes too lazy to spend the couple minutes required to set it up. ^^

I read a book about various techniques to bring out your creativity, especially when working through some difficult patches - like having to hold several concepts in your head at once to move the model forward - and it talked about the benefits of having an "avatar" or something you can talk to - basically "thinking out aloud" at an inanimate object that has eyes - as an example - a Kermit The Frog puppet on your desk.

Perhaps, given the rise of support animals etc, we'll be seeing "support dolls" out there, recommended by psychotherapists, to ensure a healthy mind. Some food for thought?
