Had a buddy some years ago who was married. He met her through church, said he had to work really hard to win her hand. Which surprised me: He was intelligent, tall, built like a statue, well traveled, great job, and from a rich family. Not a perfect guy by any means, but on paper a dream husband. While she was nice looking, but not many here would rate her higher than a 7 or 8. Anyway he loved her, and that's all that mattered.

One night we're driving back home from studying, and I see her walking hand in hand with some super tall Chad-looking dude in gym clothes. Suddenly the temperature in the car felt like it dropped 20 degrees. To protect my buddy's pride, I acted like I didn't see. Dropped him off and cheerfully said if he needed anything else to shoot me a text. But the last second I saw him he looked like he saw a fuckin ghost.

A minute later he called and I picked up but he didn't say anything and hung up.

I'm uncomfortable sharing personal stories about others I care about, but I leave it here to illustrate a point: being ripped, handsome, confident, and successful doesn't protect you from foul play. Sometimes it even attracts the most opportunistic and manipulative players.

Never take personal responsibility for how women treat you. There will be a lot of women, men, religious leaders, and even family members who tell you ways to man up to prevent this abuse. They're dead wrong, ignore them. Take responsibility for your actions only. Be good to yourself and make a good life.
