They are almost never like that before you marry them, trust me. I mean, some are, but most don't turn until after they pop out kids and you can't afford to leave.

Glad to hear you finally grew some balls.
Here's a thought, stay the fuck out of the house as much as possible....go hiking, go to a bar (not in town so she can't find you), have some fucking fun, eat as much damn Blue Bell as you want until you puke, do what you want, go where you want.....what the fuck is she going to say/do?
She can divorce you....so what? She would have anyway even if you licked her ass (don't).
So you might as well enjoy yourself because whatever is going to happen will. (divorce rape, childcare nightmare...it won't be any easier if you were nice to her so fuck it).
Good luck.

This crap reminds me of a few friends where anything practical , DIY, mechanical, repair wise, has to always be the burden of the man.
Must be rather pleasant to simply assume the husband/boyfriend will deal with cars, DIY, anything broken, all computer & phone issues, while sitting comfortably in an air conditioned room watching video

Can you imagine living life like this as a man?
I certainly can't.
