You want to learn chinese? There is a lot of culture hidden in the characters. It looked like drawings but there is teachings in the characters itself.

Do this, so you can listen to Rammstein AND understand what they are singing about. Totally worth it!

I used to speak French better, but lost most of it because my French friends moved away. To learn a language as an adult is more difficult, and you need to keep up practicing it or you'll lose it. You'd need some friends to chat with, but unless you're good enough in their language, they will just revert to English because it's easier. You'd have to practice well.

I speak German and French, so maybe I can help. German was the first foreign language I learned. English is my native tongue. German was great because it allowed me to speak with family members in Switzerland who could not speak English. However, French is spoken in a lot more countries than German. It's a massively useful language that I'll be able to use in Europe and Africa, as well as many small island nations. Spanish is similar to French in that it is spoken in a huge number of countries. If you're going for sheer usefulness of the language, go for Spanish. It has way more speakers than German. However, if you're planning specifically on visiting German speaking countries such as Germany, Switzerland, and Austria and that's where your passion lies, then go for German.

Spanish is the way because you have almost all of south America that speak it. And it’s similar to Portuguese, so you can travel to Portugal and Spain . And Spanish is the most spoken language in the world, not english

Hi,
I found learning Spanish easier as learning German, though both are super intersting and I think both are useful (as I leared both). You should look for yourself what is the most intersting and useful language for you as this also boost your motivation to learn it! :)
Recently I found out about Magiclingua.com where you can have bot conversations in these ones. Super cool.
