There was an interesting comment by a user to me on a different subreddit that got me thinking. While I'm a supporter of the idea that we are subject in many ways to the programming of our DNA, it might be that the human brain evolved as a tool to give us the ability to adapt our biology to changing times (i.e. by allowing us to consciously change our behaviors rather than just follow our biological instincts).

This would mean that not only can we "choose" to eat less when food is plentiful, for instance, but we can also choose to avoid women and not reproduce if conditions are really unfavorable. It may even be as simple as "holding out" until you're over 40 and then your DNA's grasp on you (about reproducing) weakens or totally disappears as well. Just something for younger MGTOW to think about.
