I am looking at moving out of the UK next ueat and one of the possible places I was thinking was about was somewhere in the Midwest. I am not worried about work but would need access to decent internet.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what it's like their from a point of view of a single man. I am hoping to buy a large plot of land (depending on immigrant status) and hopeful have minimal contact with anyone but what are the people like here especially to foreigners. I'm Indian so brown skin and while I know what the news says I would much rather hear it from people on here on how accepted that is.

I will probably shortlist a few places and start visiting then after the summer.
