Little backstory, I had a dog that was usually friendly and loving but she would always want to attack small children and other pets/animals. And recently she turned her aggression towards me and bit me up and ended up drawing blood. I had about enough because I'm not wanting to have an aggressive dog. So I contacted a friend who I figured would want her and he said he's been looking for a small dog like her for a while for his daughter (14, has some special needs). So I drove to his place and let them meet my dog and almost instantly those two were playing and having a great time. I told them about her aggression and they still wanted her anyways because the daughter really loved her. So I ended up giving them the dog and everything was good. She was in a good home and I could visit whenever I wanted. But at the same time, he was looking to get rid of a puppy he was fostering because they could only have one dog and the daughter chose mine. So I ended up taking the puppy (husky) and returning home. This is when everything goes downhill. My then girlfriend walks into my apartment, sees the dog, and is so upset at the fact that I "traded" my dog for this one. I never intended on getting another dog. She says she loved that dog and says a few other words. She ends up breaking up with me that same day and now I feel guilty. Should I have dealt with getting bitten, potentially someone else and paying for all those costs, all for keeping my gf happy and us still be together? Or was it the right call? I'm in a spot where Idk what I should do. I could get the dog back but end up crushing the little girls heart and possibly end up with one less friend. Am I in the wrong?
