No dude, I totally understand. My moms the same way.I love her out of the few good memories I have of her and some other sort of moral obligation, but honestly she has always been a narcissistic abusive lunatic. Never worked a day in her life and lives like a fucking queen. Blows 3-4k/mo gambling, alcoholic, child beater, manipulative woman who owns a mansion size brand new box home on the southern california coast. Constantly buys luxury sports cars and trucks. Currently just bought a 2019 F250 platinum diesel truck, a 2019 BMW M series twin turbo, a giant 2018 fifth wheel, blows thousands a month shopping as well.

For reference, I fell behind on child support and need to come up with 2k to get my license back so I can work. My options are sell my 91' Honda accord with 320k miles to pay the extortion or be homeless. I hinted heavily at her of my situation but her response was essentially "tough shit". My dad is trying to help me.

She's always been emotionally unstable and did little more as a mother than get drunk, beat her kids, spend my dads money and regularly call the police on him over fabricated domestic abuse claims.

My dad was a fire fighter for 30 years. He worked his ass off and suffered through abuse that would have caused me to end up in jail for murder. Mom beating on him. Fucking our neighbors. My baseball coaches. Randoms while dad was at work etc. It was insane. Never worked a day in her life.

My dad has barely the shirt on his back at 65 years old but he's the only one who really helps me out when I get in a pinch with my divorce situation.
