I know some chick who had exactly that happen to her though.

She was married with some deadbeat who was constantly buying cars on loan and totalling them, started 3 businesses that always went bankrupt in a couple months, bought a house and didn't pay off his mortgage, switched internet providers almost every month cause he'd get banned everywhere because of not paying the bills, yada yada yada.

By the end, he was even using a prepaid card type of system for fucking electricity of all things, because otherwise he would use a ton of electricity (he used these electric heaters in the winter and those things use a ton of electricity) and then just not pay for all the electricity he used. Anyway, the result of his ridiculous lifestyle was tons and tons of debt everywhere.

They divorced and her monthly paycheck was withheld almost entirely for 7 years, and that money went straight to all creditors where he got into debt while they were married. And that covered half of the debt that he made. And the other half had to be paid by the guy himself.

She was damn lucky a betabux simp took her in and fed her for those 7 years. Had she been male, she would have been sleeping under a bridge and eating discarded food from dumpsters.

But then again I live in Belgium though so the law might be a lot different in other countries.
