Oh, and yes you are being censored. For example, try to type a message that includes

[email protected] but replace the 1 with an i and the @ with an a. It's really easy to see in the reddit chat because it rejects your message and won't let you send it. It's auto-banned to post that on reddit.

Deep filtering is already occurring.

It's in processing. You can also edit during that time period and it won't show as *edited because it wasn't yet published and seen.

I always submit and re-read my shit, edit and correct. Hardly ever get it right the first time, especially when I'm speaking passionately. It's much better this way than when it used to go direct and all my comments would show edited!

that happens if you don't have enough karma in the subreddit you're posting in. It's a way to prevent spam posts, actually. It can be somewhat annoying since karma tends to be more based on who can crack the best joke rather than who makes the most informative post.

Say something "popular" in the subreddit you're in to get some karma there and that should go away.
