I have a 'normal' career in IT, but I also do freelance writing and make more than a livable wage that way. My plan once my children are grown up is to begin traveling around the world and becoming a 'digital nomad' living in different places for a few months at a time (or longer if I like the area) since I can make a living with my writing from anywhere.
