Im considering switching career paths from software/AI to teaching math abroad. Anyone here have experience teaching? Do you enjoy it ? Do you regret your decision? If you had the chance to take a higher paying job such as engineering, would you take it?

Thanks again for the helpful reply
Wow. Teaching at universities most of the time? I thought it isn't good to teach at universities long-term because there's much less career progression than at an international school?
How do you find university job openings? What job boards can I use?
How do you find people to tutor? Are they easy to find? (I'm actually Asian American, not white)
That's great to hear. I definitely plan to use them if I come to Taiwan
How many hours per week do I have to stay in the cubes? Will there be other westerners there being loud or is it just the Taiwanese who are loud?
I don't understand. What do you mean by this? What admin garbage do they avoid? Why can you avoid it if you work part-time?
Do you mind sharing where you live, maybe by PM? If I can come to Taiwan, I was thinking I may like it better in Taichung or Kaohsiung. People there are supposedly more friendly, but I'm just concerned those cities may be too boring. Do you have any experiences living in those cities?

But I've lived abroad before and enjoyed it. It was easier to meet people and make friends than here in the US. I figure whats the point of earning a high income when you can't even spend it

What subjects have you taught abroad? Did you like living abroad better than in the US?
