Hum. And why is this here on MGTOW?

It's a State of Mind:
Aparigraha is the virtue of abstaining from appropriating objects because one understands the disadvantages in acquiring them: keeping them, losing them, being attached to them, or in harming them. Patanjali suggests that attachment and coveting increases possessiveness, a cycle that distracts from good reasons for activity that should motivate a person.

I take what I want, that's how I roll. If I can have more I'll get more, and it 'll all be for me, my parents, and anyone else who hasn't turned into a complete cuck.
Aparigraha is to prevent men for striving for more, and to prevent the competetive spirit. It's the same thing where they bash rich people for being rich.
Capitalism! FUCK YEAH.

Well personally I bitch about rich people sending jobs overseas.
[–]itiseddie -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link
Never good to bitch about anything lad.

I'm just saying rich people are not blameless. I'm tired of older generations in the culture trying to paint this picture of the dutiful billionaire. They don't give a fuck about the working class and they have power. Why shouldn't I bring it up?
[–]itiseddie -2 points-1 points0 points 10 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link
Older generations? I'm 18 fam. They don't give a fuck about the working class because all the working class tends to do is complain about the rich people but never do anything about it. There's so many opportunities and people constantly wait for the "right and perfect" one and otherwise want to blame someone else.
Sure, I will agree there's a lot of people out there who are rich and didn't do anything for it, got it from mommy and daddy, and laugh at people who earn less. You know what you call those? Twats.

Nah you're sorely misinformed. The rich are doing a lot to effect the lower classes negatively. You know when apple or Google decides to put their money in off shore accounts to dodge taxes... well guess what. A company worth billions.. that's a lot of fucking tax money being dodged. Guess who has to make up for it? Yup you and me. That's one reason why our economy is in the shit bucket. The misinformed believed that the rich help circulate money back into the economy but that's a false idea. They hoard their money. And spend maybe 10% maybe 5% of their actually wealth. Which means the top 10% have more wealth then the bottom 90%. If you were to look up how money is actually distributed in the country on a graph you'd see this huge sky scraper of money for the 90% and a drop bigger then any major roller coaster you've gone on. Check it out. Find the truth for your self

I'm assuming you're talking specifically about America which is controlled by the big companies. As you are in the majority you can stand up for your semi-dictatorship by actually going out there and protesting or starting your own business.
If you can't beat them, join them. Be the change you want to see.

rofl good one Gandhi.

Or you know, you could continue to be a whiny bitch about how rich people are rich and you have to pay taxes but they don't. You could do that too.
[–]ColdStoryBro-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
Yeah you go spread the good word to those African kids and tell them that they just need to start their own businesses to compete with Apple and Google. It's easy. You've got systematic poverty all figured out at 18!

I think you and the other ones around here are really missing my point. I think you're also way too obsessed with my age rather than my points.
[–]ColdStoryBro1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
It's because you're talking about being rich where you're barely old enough that you've just joined the work force. I'm not on the working class' side but starting from scratch is extremely difficult. You can't just will your way out of systematic poverty. Maybe you've just lived an upper middle class life all your life so you think wealth disparity is because lower class laborers are too lazy. Then right after, you literally quote Gandhi who was used that quote in its exact opposite context (collectivism).

Sure you can. Get a job, if you don't like the current one get a better one. You live in the best (coughs) nation (if you are from the US anyways) on the planet and you're telling me you can't get a job with reasonable income? Can't pay the rent yourself? Go live with a friend. See, we're looking at practically solving problems here.
Maybe you've just lived an upper middle class life all your life so you think wealth disparity is because lower class laborers are too lazy.
Yeah my family is so wealthy I am running Windows XP in 2016.
Then right after, you literally quote Gandhi who was used that quote in its exact opposite context (collectivism).
Missing my point. It's not about who made the quote or in what context. It's about you having all control over your life and if you find something you think should change you should go ahead and try the best you can to.
That's what MGTOW and Redpill philosophy is all about. Not going around complaining about your problem but stepping away from it and actually finding a solution.
You're the one whose missing the point. The basis of these vedic teachings make much of Hindu doctrine which was subsequently followed by the man you're quoting. Regardless, not only did you not understand what it was about, but you are spreading your misinterpretation of it. There is a vast difference between being MGTOW and slave to your own temptations.
I take what I want, that's how I roll.
Edgy. Since you like edges, here's the edgy version on aparigraha.
Doesn't know what crony capitalism is.
Sure you can. Get a job
Getting a job doesn't make you rich and in many cases you have to get 2-3 jobs to make ends meet.
We weren't talking about what makes you rich. You said there was systematic poverty. You know what the solution is? Getting a job.
Oh then I guess everyone with a job is no longer poor. That makes sense i guess... rofl. Getting a job is only part of not being in poverty, at least for most people. This should be followed by smart investment, controlling living expenditures, avoiding frivolous purchases because you're too attached to materials, climbing the corporate ladder and of course luck.
ps. If you're still using stuck on XP switch to a newer lightweight linux distro.
This should be followed by smart investment, controlling living expenditures, avoiding frivolous purchases because you're too attached to materials, climbing the corporate ladder and of course luck.
Are you telling me that I can't just spend my money on whatever I want if I don't have enough money? I've never thought about it that way. /sarcasm
Anyways, yeah if people knew how to spend money (most poor people don't know how to do this because they lack education) then yes but common sense still dictates.
If you're still using stuck on XP switch to a newer lightweight linux distro.
Maybe.
Well considering America has a troubling materialistic culture, OPs post is directly related to ideas for alleviating some of those problems. This sub doesn't just have to be about female ranting. I think a post like this might expose people to ideas for self improvement.
Oh definitely. I don't think this sub should constantly be exposed to how "privileged women are" or how they messed up their lives. It's a big deal sure, a bit of philosophy should always be welcome.
