They appeal to the feminine fantasy from different facets. Every season vile women can vicariously fantasize either: - the pursuit of the 1 best male as he drops his other options like flies - being the worshipped and desired trophy of all men (modern propaganda depicting situations they don’t actually enjoy)
For men, however, you pick between: - idealizing one woman and fighting with other men to claim her (a legitimate male fantasy if the contest scenario isn’t romantic dates lol) - being pursued by a plethora of women from which you pick one based on relentless falsified romance
In making this list I see that it’s not so “yay women boo men”, and that I just biasedly despise all dating shows in a world where women owe men nothing in terms of respect or otherwise. As long as men are legally inferior and culturally despised, perhaps shows like these can only be seen as part of the problem when in fact we simply live in a mutually confused dating world that tragically needs a hard reset to reclaim a healthy status, and that means many of us dying alone.

My sister literally can’t get enough. of course she’s married and has a kid too. 🙄 It’s all fake and appeals to women’s fantasies.
