Walter knows he is too far into gynocentrism to ever break out; he's got a disabled son and a new baby to think about, so he can't go his own way.

But Jesse? With him, there's hope. And I see Walter protecting Jesse from the mistakes he was about to make with women. First, he didn't intervene when Jane, the Junkie, was choking on her own vomit. Next, he told Jesse to break it off with the single mother Andrea.

At the end of the series, we see how much Walter dreamed of going his own way. And we see Jesse as free to go his own way, with nothing stopping him, thanks to Walt.

Red pill mostly, but BP with women. Oneitiis white knight with wife, should have next her in grad school and remained with his start up company. Instead he sold out way to soon and married his pregnant wife, who was just a loser hostess looking for a beta chump. Seems being ultra rich thru chemistry was always his path.
