I had an excellent filet mignon tonight. Rolled it around in S&P, garlic, and thyme, then seared both sides for a couple minutes.

And that was that.

I don't have the recipe with me (more like instructions) but my dad just got a Traeger smoker and we tested it out by smoking a turkey breast we had sitting in the freezer for months. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. we used the right rub but not the right wood. I was worried it was going to be too powerful of a smoke flavor but it was damn good.

Best cooking tip I know, is after you sear your streaks in a pan, very hot short time, pop those bad boys into the oven at like 375 for a few minutes, then allow the steaks to rest for a few minutes... I rest mine covered with foil.
