I might not be able to do anything I want (financial & educational limits) but I can do whatever I want within my means, shopping, grab a bottle of wine, cook a nice meal, go for a ride, have a cigar - all with no one telling me what to do or that they don't like wine/cigars!

Having freedom is something I value too much to have a relationship, the ability to go on a weekend trip without needing to take a partner into account or god forbid they say no or don't want to come but instead stay home and probably cheat on me, it's not worth the hassle.
