Credits to u/Flatlandcavalary for his idea with the list.

Concept: Women, if the child is with them, have a claim on child support. Strictley item-based. To avoid misuse, e.g. buying extremly expensive things “for the kid“*, men only pay 50% of said list, while the other 50% remain with the mother. Equality - you know?

*The problem here is that if there is no incentive for women to save (apart from being a parent with obligations too), they will just buy a golden Playstation etc. “for the child“ and let the father pay. After that, they can sell it again.

What do you think? The current system is unfair to men to a large degree. There are two radical solutions - an opt-out for men or a complete abandonment of child support. In my opinion, child support per se is not bad. A good upbringing should be provided for as many children as possible. The current system is seriously flawed, though, and sharply skewed towards women. The above system, working with incentives and an equal division between mothers and father, seems way better suited to secure an efficient, non-discrimating approach.
