Divorce is not the grand finale. Watching it from the outside is. By the time you are 40, you will just skip the firework show entirely, it always ends the same.

Marriage/kids/divorce at a young age is on a lot of young females agendas. Especially the ones that know they are on a fast track to nowhere in life. It gives them a support layer of alimony/child support, then they can get divorced and continue hitting the clubs and riding the CC while mom/grandma/sister/aunt take care of their child. Many of them go into marriage already with divorce in mind. I guarantee you there are older women giving very young women the advice to do so as well.

The peak periods for divorce are:

4-6 years after the youngest child is born

and

18-20 yrs after the youngest child is born.

In other words, after the youngest child enters the daycare of schooling, or graduates from high school and can drive and mostly take care of themselves.

There's an article that I cannot seem to relocate now that breaks it down. Called something like: "you need to know her number". It's about knowing how many children a woman wants to know when the highest risk years are for her to divorce.
