In 2015, approximately 1,451 men in Sweden underwent vasectomy, in 2018 the number had doubled to almost 2,655.

In the country's three largest regions, the trend is most evident in Stockholm, where the number of men who sterilized has more than doubled. In 2015, the number was 260 and in 2018, 854 men chose to do a vasectomy, according to statistics from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
