Nothing you can do about it. People our parents age have been brainwashed into thinking women is some complex, divine mystical being that they must spend their entire lives figuring out in order to have a happy relationship, and if that relationship fails then it's their fault for not trying hard enough. Just focus on yourself at this point.

What is wrong with men? It shows you strong of an effect societal indoctrination has. Luckily it seems the younger generation (<= 35) have a different mentality.

I think it really sucks that it literally takes society generations to change. When someone his 20 their views are mostly "fixed". They have been so invested in them that it is unlikely it will change. So, from that point forward, it is up to them to die to make room for people with different views.
