So this was a few years ago, probably ‘17 I’m guessing. Met the broad while I was in the military, ended everything shortly I left the military. (Security blanket was gone). Anyways I live in the Midwest she is in SoCal with our child.
Went out there to see my daughter. Spent the day with her and then meet up with my ex/child’s mother and we all decide we were hungry for dinner. Mind you when we were married I paid for everything, (she stayed at home which is a respectable job if you don’t well but she didn’t and also didn’t work) made sacrifices and even pulled off second jobs here and there to provide for the Ex’s wants. Anyways I’ve been following MGTOW for maybe 6 months at this time (2017) and I’m respond with “yeah sure, I’m hungry too let’s get something to eat.” She interpreted that as he’ll pay and it’s another free meal.
We eat, it was a good meal with semi respectable conversation. We’re pretty much done and she leaves to hit the restroom. The waiter comes to clean up empty plates and I take the opportunity to tell him I specifically tell him I want separate checks. I pay my tab and tip and politely slid her ticket on her side of the table. She returns from the restroom expecting to go trays and the bill paid only to be confused to see the ticket under her plate. I politely explained to her that we are divorced and I am no longer responsible for her bills. Lol! We went back and forth for a min about who was going to pay her bill. You all should have seen her face when she realized I was serious and how she threw her card at the waiter. She stormed off to her car and pouted. Haha!!
