Yes, it basically boils down to, MGTOW are done being charitable suckers in many various ways to women and others who really don't deserve it. I guess you can call that selfish, but its just intelligence, really.

The philosophy here? The short answer is that there isn't one. Outside of the fact that marriage is not a worthwhile pursuit for a man, there is little that most of us agree on. Maybe AWALT, but you will even find some varied interpretations of what that means.

You might think that some ideas are more or less compatible with MGTOW, and you might be right. Of course it may be that you are mistaking the fact that you agree with MGTOW and with your political and moral views with a logical connection that isn't there. As long as you aren't verbally shitting on other men, I think you should be at complete liberty to explore whatever ideas you like.

As for objectivism, I'm sure it's very interesting and all, but I haven't read it, and I'm not going to, because it was written by a woman.

For those that haven't read Fountainhead.... I encourage you to do so. It changed a lot about my confidence in business. It is truly about going your own way. A fantastic book.

If you don't read it cause the author is a woman, you are missing out on a lot of wisdom.

She was a child in soviet Russia and came to the US and realized that personal freedom is indeed going your own way.

This is debatable, IMO -- in regards to the "thought up by a woman" -- I would say "not really."

Because the "core" or foundation of what she aggregated together -- that a firm reality exists OUTSIDE of our "perception" of it -- was quite frankly NOT her "invention" at all (I mean seriously?), but rather was one MAJOR viewpoint in "philosophy" so to speak (and in direct contrast to the "subjective/relative") from ancient Greece (and arguably in earlier/prior and other/independent cultures too) on up through history.

BTW, I think her characterization of "ideal" women* -- as "worshipers of heroic men" -- is wholly flawed (and fallacious/misleading) ... in fact I think it's basically just a rationalization & justification for female** promiscuity, infidelity, disloyalty, and hypergamy (note that essentially ALL of her major female character -- i.e. "heroines" {Kira, Dominique, Dagny} -- were essentially hypergamous "branch swingers").

Also, as a result, the majority of her MAJOR male character "heroes" (Leo & Andre; and even more so, and less believably in the later Peter, Gail & Howard; Francisco, Hank & Galt) who -- for all of their ostensible "alpha" qualities -- were nevertheless fundamentally "cucks" who settled for/accepted female hypergamy (and in a rather "insane" fashion -- IMO very unrealistic, unbelievable, difficult to buy into reactions -- i.e. with essentially zero qualms, objections, or concerns: "jealousy" doesn't really exist in Rand's fictional-hero characters).

That doesn't mean I think her works are entirely worthless -- because they're definitely NOT -- just that there's a whole lot of "crap" mixed in with a few nuggets of gold.

* But one should note that when it comes to the "villains" -- men and women -- her (generally minor) characters, and fairly revealing in terms of their base (typically Machiavellian) motivations, and generally unscrupulous behaviors.

** Especially including her own -- ironically (and hypocritically IMO) rendering that portion of her "philosophy" as entirely subjective -- and utterly rejecting outright (without any REAL basis) the demonstrably objective problems it (female hypergamy) creates/causes (most of which she simply avoids -- i.e. when her female "heroine" characters "cheat" or swing to another branch, the men simply accept it w/o becoming jealous; when the married characters divorce, the women never attempt to "divorce rape" their husbands, because the females are essentially always already "independently wealthy" in their own right; and she ENTIRELY avoids the issue of children, custody, child-support, etc simply by not having any of the major women characters EVER get, or seem to be even remotely concerned about getting, pregnant {even though all of the characters are in a "pre-birth-control-pill" era}).

I would say yes it certainly does.

Altruism is Self Sacrifice. First perpetrated by religions and now by Social Justice Liberalism. It is enforced today by the tyranny of the feels. To live for yourself is a serious crime to Collective Altruists. For them you exist, and your life's work exists, only for others. To reject that notion is to basically become a viscous selfish bad guy. And you should feel bad, and because Living for yourself (Rational self interest) hurts people's feelings and they also loose rights to your hard earned stuff.

Because, of forced altruism over time there becomes an inversion of this called irrational hedonism. Where you begin to expect others to sacrifice for you. We can see this in many outlets of society today. Here, we see irrational hedonism in women and why men are going MGTOW.

There is also a paradox in Altruism where the people whom receive your forced charity will label you as "selfish" when you tend to disagree with altruism. But what does that make the people receiving your forced charity?

I also think altruism gives people a "goodguy badge" some self righteousness they get to foist on others.
