Nah, Disney signed her on for 7 more movies. She'll defeat Thanos in the first 5 minutes and the other 2 hours will be all of the marvel cast on their knees (except the women) worshipping Brie and renouncing their masculinity so they can be more like her; a SHEro.

Yup. Watched it recently (for free, coworker caught wind of Brie's political statement and gave me the ticket) and it was one of the most boring films I've ever seen. Even looking past the petty feminist pandering (for example, white biker asks Brie to smile and this is supposed to be a normal and "terrible" thing for men to do) it was just simply criminally boring. All of Brie's emotional ranges are deadpan stare and snark for literally every single scene, even the ones where she's supposed to be devastated after learning her backstory.
The only "good" parts of the movie are the very beginning (fight scenes and entertaining banter are decent enough) and at the very end where Brie fucks off. Even the fight scenes are kinda disappointing since she's shown from the very beginning to be extroardinarily strong in every sense of the word and impossibly smart for no good reason. It's just 2+ hours of Mary Sue hand waving where Captain Marvel just knows how to do everything (stealing and operating any vehicle including ones she's never seen, building ultra-advanced communicators utilizing decades old earth equipment which she has never seen before, operating a computer that is millenia behind in the tech she is familiar with) and she is never even close to being in danger of losing so there is no tension in any scene. Also, fuck the "magic amnesia means she just knows how shit works on earth" since she didn't even know what a fucking loading screen is.
Tl;dr - it was bad because it was boring. The feminist pandering was subtle and can be overlooked compared to how boring the movie is.
