I'll try to keep as Simple and short as possible, the rest you can google.

Love is giving, Simple as that.

You are in a love relationship, when both give, and both doesn't care about receiving.

The nordic rune for love it's geofu, which translate to give.

What you see nowadays, it's two emotional vampires sucking each other energy, until there's nothing left, and proceeds to another victim, this applies to both today men and women.

What you see in movies and books, it's the product of chilvary love, created in 1600.

Love is the energy that connects us to god (our father that we come from and one day will go back to)(and so much more). Like a flame it exists in every beeing, for some its so small that its almost going out and others have it shining so bright that u can recognize it from far away. Its also the natural state of beeing so you could say that animals and plants vibrate in this highest of all frequencies (love).

The other thing (emotional dependency) is just getting used (attached) to somebody and having withdrawal effects when this person is not there

Today i don't think love is a real thing, we are indoctrinated to believe there is someone special out there, the 'other half' , 'significant other' , etc.But in truth, bigger your expectation, more the deception and regret.But about dependency it is something more wide, the more things you can do for yourself, less you need another, you are more self-sufficient , by example i am not good with manual work like plumbing etc. So i pay other people to do that when needed, my father in the other side have the way with fixing and crafting things manually.And emotional dependency, when women feel you 'need them' they manipulate you for their own objectives.The living being what can really care about your feelings in a honest way is called dog.

Um. Historically live is irrelevant. Marriage was about business, children, community, etc. You were arranged or set up by your parents in order to further the bloodline and keep the family moving.

Selfless or altruistic is naive. The most honest approach would be mutual benefit. That’s a decent approach for any kind of relationship... whether it’s romantic or business. Of course this makes little sense once you’ve taken the red pill because we know women don’t really want or need much from a man that she can’t have forced on him.

You’re right. What you’re talking about is more rare these days. A relationship where both agree to take on certain roles or burdens so that both benefit more than if they were alone is the goal.
