Some in this movement are definitly out of some personality disorder, i.e. schizoid, avoidant, paranoid and degrees of autism.

Some were just burned a lot of times.

Some never had a girl and don't know how to get it and have given up or know how to get it, but they don't want to do that for one reason or the other.

Everyone's story and reasons here are different.

AWALT - this is at the core of MGTOW beliefs.
Love doesn't change that fact , it just means you're in temporary state of limbo until she feels that you're boring, not treating her right or once she get's better opportunities.
She never actually loved you (unless you're a psycho or a chad) , she just couldn't do any better for a long time.
This will always come across clearly , no matter what you personally believe. No matter how good it felt to you, here and there.
Once you accept this and focus your attention inwards, THEN you will find your true self and start feeling happy about your own life. You will find that there are many more productive things to do , than chasing after women.
When you finally do cost -risk analysis and weight the value of your time, then you will come the conclusion that women are a waste of your time.
You can buy sex and men make much better friends.

There is a lot of misunderstanding about this.

I am an independent man who simply cannot tolerate having to answer to a woman about anything in my life. I feel stronger, more in control, and whatever happens to me is a result of MY actions and not because of a woman.

I don't envy men in relationships with women at all anymore. I used to, but I've evolved. I have no hate, no ill will towards women I just cannot tolerate their general attitude.
