You do not mention which country that you're in.

Here in England a prenup is not even legally enforceable, so you leave your fate completely at the hands of a judge and that is frightening to know just one person has such power to ruin your life as it is no secret that the court system in England is complete bias / hostile towards men.

Only second hand, but the general rule of thumb is to make sure you get the prenup way in advance (otherwise dismissed under the premise of pressure) and get it NOTARIZED. Both parties. Hell, make sure you both get lawyers just so it's all clear. Yep, pay for hers if you must, but as long as the lawyer is there and it's notarized, it's very difficult to get thrown out.
