We need more women in blockchain because of all the sexism! All those blocks are patriarchal and show women with oversized boobs and chainmail bikinis! They completely worship men and the block chain storylines are always so sexist!

I know block chain is very sexy.

If you don't know what blockchain is, this is an ELI5.

Every use Excel? A spreadsheet with rows and columns you type stuff in? That's a block. You stick a bunch of spreadsheets together in the order you did them in a "workbook"? There you go. You have the block chain.

Now distribute that to all your friends. Every time you want to add a worksheet, you and your friends get together to add it into the workbook. When you ask for a number of a worksheet you ask everyone and go with the majority answer.

There you go. Blockchain. ELI5 style. It's a big damned inefficient distributed database of blocks chained together in order with PKI to show the block order. So that when you do something with your stupid crypto currency you can trace it back to the original starting block then see every transaction since then. Then you distribute this massively enormous database to everyone and synchronize it with peer to peer networking. Huzzah! And downloading it only takes weeks! It's like 50GB-100GB on a good day! And constantly growing!

Ladies, it is boring as fuck. It's also easy as fuck. It's already out there.

What we're saying here is that women just want to have something on a resume and attention because there's lots of money in crypto, so they think "working" on a distributed database (boring) will somehow make them rich (won't, money is made pumping and dumping ~~sluts~~ crypto).

Ladies, just lie on your resume. Just say you did it. Say you were the project lead on it. No one gives a shit. When you're hired, it is because of your bitcoin slot between your legs to meet quota, not because anyone expects you to work on block chain, the code is already open sourced to be downloaded. There you go. Can you click a link and down load it? Just think of it as the opposite of uploading a sloot photo to Tinder and Instagram.

"Blockchain community" is like saying "Oil Change community".

They aren't a community, they're a collection of people and businesses in the same market. There are no barriers to women entering the market. If someone's employer is mistreating them, then deal with that through the available channels we already have.

I suspect using "community" is an attempt to create an in-group that doesn't exist. They're angry because there weren't enough women making money off the bitcoin bubble and want to force their way in by imposing instead of just participating.
