I used to draw a lot of cosplay girls in my free time. Not really acknowledge them, comment about it, or follow them, just when a thot in fantasy attire popped up on my feed i'd use the image as reference material. Scantily clad was a good source of studying anatomy while indulging at the sight. My motivation and drive for such inspirations have shifted now to more realism, landscape, and imaginary art since going monk though. Whenever I see female cosplay selfies now I just focus in like I used to, but I see so many tears and seams in not only the outfit but the model themselves that I can barely bring myself to indulge in replicating their appearance with all my effort as I once could with a youthful vigor. The skill for doing it is still there it's just very workman like now, mundane things like mugs with light bouncing off of it seem much more grandiose and awe and inspiring to me now than "thot #46,823 as video game character but in a bikini" It's tracer in a bikini, it's Zelda in a bikini. How about put effort into the costume instead of slapping a lazy beach outfit and a wig on just for attention.

Isn't most of the drama in cosplay usually by women against other women? I don't think there was much drama when it was geeky guys dressing up at Sci-Fi Cons back before geek was chic.

Feeding the ego is unsustainable , both short term and long term. At the point that the ego gets what it wants, immediately it longs for more.The older a female gets, the less self esteem she will have due to relying heavily on her looks == overall value investment. She may not even notice how awful her situation is until it's too late, which is unfortunate. They can't turn back the titantic if they choose to be selfish and greedy. So eventually, she has to give up more and more of herself to achieve not even 5% of what she had to concede when she was 20.
