My 2nd cousin, who I actually spend lots of time with told me that he's been feeling bad about a situation that happened at a concert a couple of months back.

He and his group of friends were heading to a concert. They were trying to hurry; unfortunately there was a Fat Sheriff and a fire hydrant in my cousin's way. So he like any other person would do, slipped to his side to avoid hitting both. Though his bud's girlfriend took the same path, due to fear of bumping into the cop, my cousin pushed himself slightly forward but was losing his balance. At that same moment the ladyfriend was in his way and so my cousin wouldn't end up falling on her, he put his hands on her back so he could regain his balance and not fall on her.

Though he told me he feels bad as he said he might've placed his hands on the butt section of the coat. I know he's well intentioned because he's not that type of guy. He told me he feels very bad and wanted to ask for an apology from the girlfriend. Though I told him that would be a terrible idea and instead just let his own actions serve as an apology to her, i.e. casually helping her on things when she needs help.

I wanted to ask you guys if this is sound advise?
