Honest answer: I no longer feel as much pressure to please everyone around me. I realise that the actions and emotions of others are largely beyond my control, and I'm more capable of recognising and acting my own needs.

I now try to be decent to everyone without expecting anything in return. I've learned to read people by their actions, and to try to understand who they are on a deeper level rather than just how they present themselves.

I'm a lot more compassionate toward men than I used to be, because I understand the pressure to look 'together' all the time. I'm only competitive in very specific settings where there's mutual respect and a shared goal to improve.

In short, I'm behaving how I want to, rather than to meet any arbitrary expectation. I am becoming my own person.

I like reading stories and articles posted here. Keeps reminding me it's not worth it to engage with women anymore.

Occasionally I get an urge to go pursue a few particular women but then after reading stories here it reminds me how bad it can get and how badly I've already been burned in the past. All those "maybe she's not like that, maybe she's actually kind" thoughts disappear real quick...

Before, if a semi-attractive woman gave me any attention and asked me out, I would drop everything I was doing to engage.

Now, I always decline, because I got shit to do.

Besides that there really isn't much difference. If anything I have an easier time talking to woman because I have no expectations of ulterior motives.

I do what I want and I'm not depressed anymore. If I don't want to do anything I just don't. The only thing I have to do is go to work. I don't have any addictions and I don't consume shit, so even minimum wage is actually enough where I live right now.

I like life since I've got to know that there are more like-minded people! We just keep to ourselves and not shout like monkeys. The most stupid people talk the loudest, is what I learnt from life.

It's not mgtow as much as the red pill and TRM that has helped remove the blue pill idealisation of women and the possibility of a happy ever after. Without it, I can view couples kissing in public and not feel happiness or sadness for them. No twinge of regret that I'm not with someone or curiousity as to why I feel this way. I am trying to make something of myself and a woman is only ever a burden. Not one person I know of in a LTR has a penny to their name. I've worked too hard throughout my life for that to be me.

The movies I see practically disgust me nowadays. And all the relationships I hear from others and how they push it on me makes me roll my eyes.

On the upside, it keeps me alert, my resolve is stronger and more shaming only proves that they're the ones with the problem, not me. And I'm free.
