The problem with a guy who has oneitis is that more often than not she'll either ignore him or exploit him because she can never truly appreciate love. If he can't offer her something that makes her feel good - money, gifts, tingles, social status, the jealousy of her friends - then she will never see him as anything but an orbiter or someone she wants to avoid.

He has to realize that what he thinks he loves is an illusion. There is no sweet girl, the "real girl," that he hopes to know like he has been told in so many blue pill stories. The sooner he works on himself the better he'll be and a number of years down the road he will count himself lucky to have dodged a bullet.

Have you tried to introduce him to some sort of red pill thinking? I’m not sure if that would work but it might be worth a shot. Red pill philosophy worked wonders for me in that it got me thinking differently.
