Aren’t most men hypergamous, too? I’d be a rotten liar if I said I never considered leaving a girl for someone I found more attractive, physical or otherwise. And I’ve cheated and hid the fact from girls who trusted me - I’m NOT proud of it, I was young and dumb, but isn’t that also hypergamy?

I have ZERO doubts that hypergamy is rampant amongst women of all ages, I’m just trying to understand how it’s different than my own natural instinct to select the best female for reproduction — which I should note is an instinct I’m completely fine with suppressing thanks to all I’ve learned and experienced so far.

Or is the point simply to show that women aren’t any better than men when it comes to fidelity?
