you realize that back in those times hypergamy was essentially a survival strategy for women? women largely didnt work, and if they did it didnt pay well and they were more often than not mistreated at work, so what do they do? they marry a man who's financially secure because that was the better option. i feel like a lot of the guys on here are being uncharitable to say the least.
