If you take care of a woman with little to no life skills, work experience and education for however many years, give her a place to live, food to eat, vacations, a car to drive etc in exchange for taking care of BOTH of your children and doing menial household chores...why the fuck do you owe her money at the end?

You already paid her. She got more than her minimum wage labour was worth, being with you increased her quality of life above what she was willing and capable to achieve. Not being with you simply reverts it back to where it would be naturally of her own abilities and motivation.

Now if she has an education, good job etc, I can see helping out a bit if she was out of the work pool for 5+ years to get her caught up but like...thats the choice you made and the risk you took to have better care and a closer bond with your kids. Its either kids or career, or you hire an asian au pair like my rich Jewish clients.

Like...you break up, you go back to taking care of yourself and being self sufficient. If you werent able to do it then, why should you be paid to do it now? I'm not your parents, I'm not responsable for your actions.

The whole "you were able to earn more because of all this unpaid labour and her support" line is literal bullshit. Without the kids any man can hire someone to do his laundry and tidy his house for like $100 a week maximum. If you win the lotto/build your business/get a promotion all of a sudden she's fucking atlas holding you up and deserves her fair share...give me a break!

We all know why this scam is still perpetuated - divorce/grievance industry parasites and because the government doesn't want to be overburdened with useless women being moneypits after divorce, so they make the man pay.
