Hey guys. 30 year old man here. I was directed to this sub from a comment to a post I made on /r/askmen.

Basically over the last few years my interest in women, both as companions and sex partners, has waned. My labido remains as high as ever, but I find that I have an endless sea of free pornography at my fingertips. Casual sex just seems to take a Hurculean effort to obtain, and is usually a lackluster experience; and as far as relationships go... well the sex usually starts to slow down after a couple of months anyway, and every LTR I've had was something that, looking back, I would have been better off without. They all added inordinate amounts of stress to my life and threw me off track in my fitness, intellectual, and career goals. And I've seen the same thing happen to my friends countless times.

I'm currently engaged to a woman overseas, but totally ambivalent about the outcome. Things might not work out due to my being unemployed at the moment and her living in another country. If things don't work out, well that's sad because we built a relationship for almost 2 years and she's a great girl, but that frees me up to work on different goals in my life and removes a major source of stress and allows me to just lay back and live life for me. If things do work out, my goals will shift a bit and I'll take a different path. I'm fine with either outcome. It's hard to explain. It's like a fork in the road and I'm fine either way. However, if it becomes too stressful or too much work, I might let her go even if things can work out. I just don't want anymore female-generated stress in my life. I've had enough.

If things don't work out though I think I'm pretty much done with women. I've never had a woman in my life who didn't add, at the very least, stress over worrying about another person. Most have added the stress of drama, arguments, and power struggles. It's very... tiring after a while. I would rather not deal with it.

I have no plans to pursue marriage for the next few years. Maybe in the future I will change my mind, but I doubt it - I hear that after 35, a man who's never married probably never will. If I do though I'll definitely be looking to the Philippines, or perhaps Thailand, for my wife. I've dated a few Asian nationals in the past few years and they were all wonderful. Definitely much nicer and easier to get along with than the white women I've dated. Women just don't get it, either. There's a few articles out there about how 70% of men aged 20-34 are unmarried. Talking to women in the comments section is very revealing. Basically, they don't care at all about the reasons men are abandoning marriage - they just want you to shut up, stop "whining", MAN UP, and marry them. Uh, what? No thanks.

So I guess. Hi? I didn't realize the way I've lived my life before, or am possibly planning to, was actually a thing. When I was younger I used to think of life without a woman as some terrible thing to be avoided. Now that I'm older I see at as some... deeply liberating choice that I can make that will make life better.
