Yep. I also have one experience I would like to share.

Last month we had a big family gathering(india) just like we do in every special occasion. During the day time, as we were preparing for the night, cousin was showing me his new phone while recording stuff that was happening around us. Then we saw something which, to be honest, I expected to see :

It was raining outside, aunt got out of her car, walking fast while uncle trying his best to catch up while running with an umbrella in his hands, "wait honey, plz, I am sorry, but what did I even do? At least tell me". Typical situation of a married man : doesn't even know what his fault is or which one of his actions "offended" his woman, and still asking for forgiveness.

So, in the afternoon, as we all were gossiping and laughing with each other (I honestly enjoy these occasions, as it is a great time to meet those who live far away). Randomly, the same uncle talked about relationships and marriage. So they were making jokes on it and stuff, then all of a sudden it became a serious discussion.

"You know, the feeling of looove is just amazing"

"Yeah true that, when I saw her for the first time-" well you know, the usual stuff.

Then they turned to us young ones.

As they were asking about my studies and school and all that, this uncle actually ended up asking : "I heard from others that you said you are not into marriage and love. Why? Did something happen? Look here kiddo, love is the greatest treasure that a man can have. Trust me, everything else is bullshit in front of it."

I chuckled a bit, then said : "Well, I think I will not say anything now. But I would like to show you something, if you don't mind. I am sure you will get your answer."

Took my cousin's phone, played the video he recorded earlier. When it was finished, everyone bursted in laughter.

That was the best family gathering I have ever had lol. The forced laughter on uncle's face, and the look of his wife :)

I find myself doing this a lot and did it a lot in the past. However, what she doesn't realize is that I am planning my exit and trying not to laugh at the stupidity of her going with feels over reals. That I am thinking about how nice it will be to have less stress, panic, and anxiety. Basically being a sleeper until I can egress and get out of Dodge to a better life. It is emasculating, but it is teaching me the error of my ways and reminding me why my freedom will be all the sweeter and that I will be better off once I am free.

Heck, just the other day I was at a red light. I looked at my rearview and in the car behind me sat an older man driving. He was rubbing his temple, staring ahead with a “kill me” expression, while the woman in the passenger seat was looking at him, rapidly talking and making furious hand gestures.

Edit: it’s now a little game I play. Whenever I’m stopped, check the car behind me and ask, do they look happy?

Funny enough I had a damn similar situation today. In front of my daughter's school, on a parking lot , a bro trying to apology and looking miserable in front of an excited and ugly harpy. Jesus, drop the bitch and go mgtow my friend. So happy not having to go through this bs anymore.

When I invite my co-workers at the end of the day for a well earned beer and they say they must rush home or what else... I'm glad to be alone.

When I go out for the weekend for a short trip and I don't have to deal with excuses of a girlfriend or a wife... I'm glad to be alone.

When I go shopping to spend my money and no one is also spending my money... I'm glad to be alone.

When at home I choose what to cook, what music to play, the show/game I want to play and talk with whatever I want without drama... I'm glad to be alone.

When I go out for a local pub any day at the week without checking the time so I don't have problems later... I'm glad to be alone.

When I go home with an happy heart and shout "honey I'm home" to an empty house and no one starts tantrums for whatever reason looking for conflict... I'm so fu***** glad to be alone.

I've been so many years chained living not my life but hers. Serving. Like an idiot. I'm not traumatized.

I just learned.

My roommate / landlord is married with children. We are quite good friends, but I see this type of stuff almost daily. So glad I got divorced and went my own way a few years ago.
