I tend to reply to posts rather than post my own because I generally prefer talking with people rather than preaching at a group but perhaps some other people lurking here could benefit.
what is written below is in response to this post, for some context: https://www.reddit.com/r/MGTOW/comments/cmj8j5/for_a_subreddit_about_men_forging_their_success/
Dude, according to your account you are 16 years old. You have not experienced reality yet.
You have not been passed over for a scholarship, job, or promotion due to gender quotas yet. You have not been told to "suck it up" and "be a man" after having your heart ripped out by a person you trusted, again. You have not had someone assume you are the aggressor simply because of what you have between your legs. You have not been told/shown it's alright that she physically and verbally abuses you because you are bigger and stronger and could hurt her at any time, even if you never would.
You are awash in puberty hormones and ready to fight the good fight because you have been trained by society to believe that to get the girl you have to be their hero. "Hero" is synonymous with sacrifice and struggle, not sex and happiness. I'm talking about real heroes, not storybook heroes.
Society views you as a disposable item. A tool that needs to be as useful as possible just for the chance for affection from the opposite sex. you just haven't realized it yet.
Think about every hero in every story you have ever seen. How much pain and anguish did they have to go through? How much of their own lives did they have to set aside for "her"? Watch what happens to them and then ask yourself "If that were me, would I consider it worth it?". Next, is it still worth it if there is no guarantee of "happily ever after"? Then, is it still worth it if she can push an eject button right out of your life whenever she wants for whatever reason she wants and take your money, your house, your kids, your self respect while she is at it?
You know the biggest lies in those stories? That the girl sees what you are doing and respects it. That you are the only one trying to be her hero and there aren't a 100 other guys around the corner waiting for you to screw up.
Also, you ever notice that a lot of times the heroes in those stories are some level of scumbag before they met "her"? Look at this description of Flynn Rider straight from the disney website:
https://movies.disney.com/tangled/characters
Flynn Rider
At first, Flynn comes off as cocky, arrogant, and a little self-centered. As an experienced thief, he is skilled in escaping the authorities, hiding out, and stealing right from under people's noses. However, as he begins to fall in love with Rapunzel, he transforms into a more compassionate, chivalrous, and trustworthy person, and changes his priorities.
Society wants you to believe that finding and giving yourself over to "her" will make you better person. That without "her" you are just another scumbag.
It isn't real. It's a narrative propagated by society to keep you towing the line.
Are you starting to understand why men might be angry? Why they might feel like they have been lied to and manipulated their entire lives?
I respect that you put in the effort but you are being used because you have been taught that your worth comes from being used. You still have a lot of growing up to do.
Take care of yourself, young brother. That's MGTOW.
