Gonna have to disagree on the flat earth thing man. This rock my not be a perfect sphere, but it is an oblique sphereoid. Ive flown high enough in an airliner, (hopefully fighters in the next 10 years).

Mathematically, think of it this way; earth diameter is 12742km, so to get the surface diameter obviously its going to be: Pi, (3.1415...)x Diameter, (12742) = ~40,030km of circumference, that is just to wrap a piece of string around a pefectly flat surfaced earth, since Im not nearly autistic enough to plan for oceans and mountain ranges. So we have an idea of how large dear mother Earth is in a straight line.

Area? Area of a sphere is: A=4pi r^2, r, (radius) being 6731km more or less to the core of the earth. Punching all this lovely math in we get a surface area of: A=4(3.1415)(6371)² A= ~510,064,472 km^2. 510 million square kilometers, that is fucking MIND boggling when you consider the average human line of sight on flat ground reaches horizon at ~4.65km. For cross verification purposes look at the radar coverage of an E-3 Sentry AWACS aircraft; at 40000ft, (max and operational altitude) the radar line of sight/range is ~394km in every direction. even at that altitude the radar LOS is a combined 788km diameter. compare that to the 40,030km circumference of Earth and it works out to only being 1.97% in diameter and only (487,688/5.1 x 10⁸⁾ 0.0956% of Earth's total surface area. Literally you need to go to suborbit or further to see this lump of rock is a proper sphere. The joys of being celestial bacteria in comparison to our home-world.

From the ISS, (orbits at 400km, or 400,000 meters) has a view range of ~2260km and a possible view area of 16,015,625 km^2. This however still only accounts for 3.14% of the Earths's surface.

In fact to see half of the planet's surface, you need to be ~5000km away from the surface of Earth to see the entirety of one side of it. Whew, PM me if you want to double check with my math

Personally I dont bother with watching TV and if anything /pol/ and those hilarious kekistanis are showing the public that the mainstream media IS fake news, which intelligent people have already deduced for the most part.
