A lot of context in this subreddit is about man-woman relationship or politics. Let me share an example of interacting with females outside of that context. MGTOW suggests to ignore not only women in dating but women altogether.

I rented an apartment on the ground floor, and once I wanted to do some BBQ on the balcony. I've carefully checked the rules in my rent contract. The rules mentioned that if one does charcoal BBQ on the balcony, then the one needs to be careful not to cause fire. So, I went ahead and did it, enjoyed the meat.

However, a neighbor of mine was a granny of age between 70 and 120. The granny came to me the next morning to express that:

  1. She felt unsafe that somebody deals with fire on the balcony of another apartment in the same house.
  2. She called the local fire department to ask if there is a fire hydrant next to the house.

The interaction with her was unpleasant enough for me to stop ever doing BBQ on that balcony.

I understand that some people are more afraid of fire than others and don't have much problem with her argument #1. It's somewhat ok.

However the point #2 was clearly ridiculous but she didn't listen to any of my arguments:

  • She could see the fire hydrant from her balcony, it was right next to the building. It's even colored red to be easily seen.
  • Her doing something stupid doesn't in any way change the danger of what I was doing. Let's take this to absurd to prove the point. Hypothetically, if she gets so afraid of fire that stops living, by her "logic" her death is my fault.
