I think the basic thing i should look at is if i have to ask others for validation, i know its wrong so i will not do it. Furthermore, i meed to let go to remove her power over me. I have to live my life now free as possible of her influence. Thank you for the advice and lessons.

That depends on wether you subcribe to a certain ethical theory, or what set of beliefs your moral contain. If for example you subscribe to a certain kind of virtue ethic then what you are doing is wrong, since this action is not truthfull (which is most of the time considerd a virtue). But this really depends on you. Ofcourse you could not subscribe to an ethical theory, for sceptical reason or simply not finding a ethical theory which you find correct. This leaves you then with your own personal set of moral believes, which you may not find universal or objectively good in the ethical sense, but they are a code of conduct which you believe you need to follow to be a moral correct person (there is alot more to say between the distiction between Ethics and morality but this is way to much to go into now).

So the question really is do you subscribe to a ethical theory, if so you can probabbly find your answer there. If not, then look at your own personal moral code and wonder if this action goes against this code. But be honest with yourself if the action is deemed unethical/immoral by yourself then do not try to be lenient on yourself, the action is simply wrong therefore you should not do it.

My personal view on this matter is that indeed you are wrong for doing what you are doing. Not in the sense that I cannot understand why you are doing it, but it is atleast immoral according to me, if not unethical if you subscribe to a Kantian theory of ethics (which i tend to do if I want subrice to a theory of ethics). The reason why I'm saying this is because I believe that the only thing that matter is actions and said intent of that action. You might argue that she need to be striped of her power and this would bring good to the world (a consequentalistic theory of ethics) however your actions are also wrong. Two wrongs do not make a right is the populair saying. The reason why I believe you action is wrong (and I tend to believe you already know its wrong, or else you would not be seeking for answers, or possibly validation), is that if I were to do that to you, you would probabbly do not whis that. Act is so that the maxim of your actions could be made into a universal law, if not than the action is wrong or void of morality. A real quick lesson in Kantian ethics (very broad).

Also on a note void of morality but more about happiness is that you might want to let go of your ex. So do not spend time and effort making her misserable (altough revenge might be the one thing you are dreaming of). The best revenge is probabbly just getting on with your life and become a great person void of her toxic.

My situation is very similar to yours and we can't really win playing their games - as you noted yourself.

i would ask back.. if you do or already have done this, could litigation trace back to posts like this, if warranted..

also.. if you were in her position, and lost your job, because of her.. what would you do..

most moral questions are moot.. either it's illegal, or it is not..

It may not be wrong but it's not smart. She already has taken legal action against you. Your one negative review won't likely mean much, but if it gets traced back to you, you could get fucked. Moreover, if you're at this level of revenge fantasizing, you need to rethink your thought patterns bro. We all know she's a bitch. The only thing you can do is move on. The sooner you do, the happier you'll be.
