It’s such a joke. Coming up in the world all you hear ad nauseam is how unrealistic beauty standards are for women, and how they just have so much pressure put on them to be perfect. The reality of course is completely different. Men are fairly forgiving of women’s shortcomings, whether those be physical or otherwise, and have adapted to see the good qualities most have.

Women on the other hand are ruthless. If you’re not six feet tall, FIT, handsome, charismatic, and pulling in good money you’re derided as absolute trash and tossed in the scrap bin. The pressure put on men to perform well in life far outweighs what’s expected of women and the “you’re a flawless queen no matter what you are” coddling they receive. The fact that it’s displayed as the complete inverse is disgusting.

Honestly, I grew sick of the whole thing and have since given up on dating. I was losing sleep, money, and dignity taking these narcissistic ego maniacs out on dates, totally compromising my well being in the hopes that one of these trolls might give me a sliver of affection in return. It’s a sad state of affairs.
